Chapter 1596: Chapter 798: A Stern Warning (Part 2)

King Yasan spoke directly: “We have already organized a Felen Allied Forces, and I’m sure it is no secret to the eyes of you chiefs. It won’t be long before our army reaches the Cesk Kingdom to stand alongside the countries of the Eastern Region against the Tukan People’s barbaric invasion. I wonder if your Ser intends to continue standing stubbornly with those outsiders, opposing the entire continent? Or will you see the light and join our allied forces?”

“What is darkness? What is light?” Sazass retorted coldly, “Don’t dress up your actions so grandiosely. If you truly drive back those Tukan people, will you abide by your promise to withdraw all troops from Cesk, not occupying a single city or town?”

“I guarantee that we will withdraw the entire army of the Koer Kingdom, not retaining a single soldier,” King Yasan declared fervently without a second thought.

“Hmph!”

Six Red Robe Mage chiefs couldn’t help but snort coldly. Having grown up entirely in a selfish and self-serving environnt, they could never truly understand the aning of selflessness, nor would they believe anyone would contribute for the sake of sheer righteousness.

“There’s no need to tell them things like this; they will never believe any promises. In their eyes, the greatest value of a contract is to be torn apart.”

The Storm Queen, who knew Red Robe Mages exceptionally well, said with a mocking tone, “You should tell them how to leave themselves a retreat.

If they insist on sticking with those outsiders until the end, once they are defeated, they can still retreat back into the Endless Wilderness.

What about your Kingdom of Ser? You can’t run, so what will you use to combat the Felen Allied Forces at that ti?”

“Aren’t you the army of justice? How can you invade another country?”

“If attacking other countries is called invasion, then attacking your Ser is a matter of revenge. Why? Are you allowed to invade other countries but not allow others to declare war on you? Everything cos with a price,” Queen Aglarond pressed relentlessly.

King Yasan remained silent at the side, tacitly supporting the Storm Queen. After all, she had clashed with the Red Robe Mages for many years and understood their style of conduct very well. Having her lead would make it easier to gain the upper hand.

“Don’t accuse us falsely. This ti we did not assist the Tukan People in invading other countries. Up to now, our soldiers have not taken a single step out of Ser’s borders,” Sazass responded without any emotional fluctuation, “Conversely, madam, aren’t you planning to use the Allied Forces for your Aglarond’s personal vendetta?”

“Assisting the enemy doesn’t necessarily an sending troops. First, explain to , what is going on with the ten thousand tons of food, one hundred thousand slaves, and tens of thousands of magic wands you traded to the Tukan people?”

“That was not our trade with them. It was a choice made under the duress of their armies at our gates. Otherwise, the kingdom being breached would not be Laiserman but rather our Ser.”

“You know how to distance yourselves, but who would believe such rhetoric?”

“What I said is the truth, and I have no way of making you believe it.”

Both sides engaged in a war of words. The Red Robe Mages of the Kingdom of Ser adamantly denied forming an alliance with the Tukan People, claiming they were also victims and had no intention of deploying troops to invade the Eastern Region or Felen.

Though they did not believe in so-called righteousness or justice, they would fully use them as tools to threaten their enemies.

So things can be done secretly, but they can never be admitted publicly.

Supporting the Tukan People’s plan to tear apart the Eastern Region belongs to this kind of situation.

Neither King Yasan nor Queen Aglarond Symbul expected to change the stance of the Red Robe Mages or have them join their ranks of the Felen Allied Forces through a single eting.

Even if the other side did choose to join, they wouldn’t dare to place even the slightest bit of trust in this force inherently evil. Instead, they worried the other party might stab them in the back.

Their primary purpose was to restrain the high-level legendary power of the Red Robe Mages. The secondary purpose was to warn these mages, making them cautious and not daring to fully support the Tukan People.

Just as the Storm Queen had just threatened them, what happens if the Tukan People are defeated?

In fact, there was no need for Symbul to remind them; the cunning Red Robe Mages had long considered this aspect.

This can be seen from their military actions, as throughout the entire ti, their assistance to the Tukan People was rely in terms of materials and montum.

Though they stationed heavy troops in Shaisel Province at the border with the Laiserman Kingdom, their explanation was not to invade Laiserman but to prevent the Tukan People from marching south again and attacking their Ser.

After the Tukan People’s invincible spearhead was blocked by the second line of defense ford by Laiserman Kingdom at Lake Asen,

Ser’s actions beca even smaller, almost vanishing.

Throughout, the Red Robe Mages of Ser aid to reap the benefits without direct involvent in this war, using the hand of the Tukan People to eliminate the Laiserman Kingdom, a long-ti adversary.

Whether it was the Laiserman Kingdom and the Tukan Army fighting fiercely at Lake Asen, or the Felen Allied Forces and the Kingdom of Ser engaging in high-level etings in the wilderness, they all understood that this ti they were rely a backdrop; the real highlight was in the City of Usr.
