Chapter 1665: Chapter 821: Council of Death Chiefs (Part 2)

The ferocity of the Razorback Boar, a large magical beast, exceeded Gaven’s expectations. Except for Nola, who barely managed to ta the Razorback Boar King using a technique for training birds of prey.

At Weizemay Manor, the population of Razorback Boars continued to grow, but no one was able to ta them. A slight mistake could lead to severe injuries, and even one person was decapitated by a Razorback Boar.

This forced Gaven to halt the thod of using brute force for taming, waiting for a more suitable opportunity.

“I didn’t expect the Lord to possess so many treasures,” Giharin asked in surprise, “How many Razorback Boars does the Lord have?”

“Two to three hundred, according to count, about two hundred,” Gaven replied with an unmistakable hint of pride in his smile. “After that, it’s hard to estimate. I’m using these Razorback Boars as seeds to breed with a large number of wild sows and dosticated sows, resulting in at least two thousand pregnancies. In the next month or two, there will be a continuous stream of births. Even though these crossbreeds may not be as strong as their ancestors, they won’t be much weaker. They can at least rival fierce wild boars, and their growth period is quite short. With careful rearing, in two to three years, they’ll be of great use.”

“The Lord indeed has a long-term vision,” Giharin gave a thumbs up to Gaven, “This is a deal with no loss but all profit. If it succeeds, you’ll harvest a batch of remarkable mounts. If it fails, there’s no real loss—you can still slaughter them for at.”

“That’s what I think too. If we can cultivate larger boars, that would also be a significant gain,” Gaven decided finally, “Leave the selection of soldiers to the Clan Leader, and handle the equipnt and mounts with myself. First, set up the frawork of the army, and when you all feel the ti is right, strike against the monster forces in the Troll Mountains. I’ll ensure City Lord Shanoba fully cooperates with you.”

“I’m eagerly awaiting that day,” The passion and determination of this Wandering Dwarf King had been fully roused by Gaven, eager for the scene when the dwarf’s Thunder Rage Cavalry and heavy infantry surged out from Colossus City.

Gaven extended an invitation, “Next, I plan to et the envoy from the Council of Death Chiefs, and I’d like the Clan Leader to accompany .”

“No, if I get involved in this matter, it will only cause a counterproductive effect,” Giharin shook his head in refusal, “The hatred between giants and dwarves has continued for tens of thousands of years, imprinted into our bones. Even those giants who have never seen a dwarf in their lifeti instinctively loathe us. Not to ntion, the Council of Death Chiefs, who directly participated in the giant-dwarf wars. If Colossus City were in the hands of gnolls, there would be so room for easing tensions, but if it returns to dwarf hands, the conflict would be hard to reconcile. Our Colossus City needs ti to develop, so it’s best not to easily ignite the flas of war.”

Gaven spoke boldly, “Peace is not gained through humiliation and compromise but fought for with the sword in hand. If the envoy from the Council of Death Chiefs makes the excessive demand of expelling all dwarves from Colossus City, how could I possibly agree? This would be akin to cutting off my own legs. I will make every effort to strive for peace, but if they insist on provoking war, I will absolutely not fear war.”

Over the past half-month, Gaven indeed brought a significant impact to the Eastern Region of Desolation.

However, the war there subtly changed Gaven’s perspective, giving him a more accurate assessnt of his current strength. Even when facing those top-tier beings, he’s not entirely without the power to retaliate, especially against the Council of Death Chiefs, which involves enemies in the Undead Domain, where he still holds a considerable advantage.

“Since the Lord is so bold, I won’t hold back,” Giharin straightforwardly changed his stance.

After all, he also did not want to surrender his and his tribe’s destiny entirely into the hands of others.

The Council of Death Chiefs isn’t a bunch of fools and won’t remain oblivious just because one avoids eting them, knowing that Colossus City has gathered many dwarves.

“Let’s go.” Gaven and Giharin ended their private negotiation and headed directly to the council chamber in Colossus City.

It was once the royal court of the city’s dwarves. The style of this city was displayed here to the extre—grandiosity.

Everything is sized up to giant proportions: the ceiling reaching fifteen ters high, and the stone throne at the center, large enough to seat a Storm Giant. The only exception might be the staircase steps, built to human proportions, though close scrutiny would reveal they were added later.

This city was indeed constructed by the Supre Shanata dwarves, but with a premise.

This was once the territory of giants, where Stone Giants also built their own city palaces.

The dwarves renovated based on the foundation of the giant buildings.

To showcase their power and glory, they retained many giant traits, especially in this royal court, making it easier to et giant envoys and captives, asserting their sovereignty.

After five thousand years, it once again served its purpose.

But now, sitting on the throne was no longer a dwarf, but a Half-Elf and a Dragonborn, with a dwarf and a Gray Dwarf seated on either side.

Amidst the rumble of steam, the twenty-ter-high iron doors slowly swung open.

This is the real main gate of Colossus City, previously the gates used by the gnolls were side doors.

Accompanied by the proclamation, two Stone Giants stepped in with steady footsteps. Against the backdrop of all the enormous things around, they seed unremarkable. But when they truly approached, one would realize they were giants three tis the size of an ordinary person.
