Chapter 1743: Chapter 847: Full-Scale Lake Crossing (Part 2)

For this rescue mission, we are extensively using elental powers, which can easily cause elental disturbances and trigger various extre weather anomalies. Now that part of the Earth Spirit Sisters’ power has been stolen, I’m afraid the situation will worsen, and the total freezing will co earlier than expected,” the Water Spirit Witch couldn’t conceal her worry.

Gaven’s heart skipped a beat involuntarily. This was an unforeseen situation, completely outside his plans. He hurriedly asked, “How much earlier?”

“If nothing unexpected happens, it should be within the next two or three days,” the Water Spirit Witch conservatively estimated, “Even if we exert all our efforts to calm the disturbed elents, we can only delay it by one or two days.”

Gaven pondered for a mont and shook his head, “If that’s the case, continuing to delay is pointless, rely a waste of energy and resources. Instead, we should arrange the battlefield to our advantage.

I suggest we build an Ice Great Wall as quickly as possible on the west bank of the lake, but not in the direction of the Great Valley, rather towards Cesk, where the Totem Tree’s influence can’t reach, especially near Mosantiel Lake.

Moreover, select the elite of the Berserkers, organizing at least fifty thousand elite, to prepare for a rapid raid southward.”

“You’re worried that once Lake Asen is frozen, the Tukan People will advance south en masse across the lake, launching an attack from Cesk?” the Water Spirit Witch speculated.

“Yes,” Gaven analyzed layer by layer, “From the start, the Tukan People likely had this idea. After all, compared to Lake Asen, the junction of the two lakes is the narrowest point.

Sensible people know the shorter the ti spent on the ice, the better, because damaging the ice is much easier than freezing the lake.

This probability was originally only fifty percent, but with the Totem Dreamscape, it becos one hundred percent.

The Totem Dreamscape poses a massive threat to the ordinary Tukan soldiers. Khan Yamun has already had several encounters with us in the Totem Dreamscape and would know better than to et us head-on.

The Dark Witch ignores other directions of the Elental Totem Trees but cos to Mosantiel Peninsula, probably as part of a transaction with the Tukan People.

After all, prior to this, neither the Tukan People nor the Dark Witch knew about the Elental Totem Trees. Their initial battle objectives couldn’t have been aid at them, but rather to prepare for the Tukan People’s large-scale lake crossing. Securing the Elental Totem Trees was an improvised response from us.”

“The Commander’s analysis is reasonable. If I were Khan Yamun, I wouldn’t force soldiers to risk unknown attacks crossing the lake; changing the crossing site and drawing our forces out is the strategy.”

“We have always referred to the north route as the Tukan Army’s main force primarily because Khan Yamun is there. In reality, their southern forces aren’t weak either, led by Khan Yamun’s eldest son, Hubadai.

It’s said he is the most skilled among the Tukan in warfare, having studied military tactics at the Soaring Dragon Empire for ten years. Many Tukan wars were actually commanded by him on behalf of Khan Yamun; it’s just that Khan Yamun’s Slaughter Divine Power overshadows him on the battlefield.

Even without Khan Yamun advancing southward, we must guard against him crossing the river directly south of Mosantiel City to strike our flank from the south.”

“I think the Commander’s plan is feasible. No matter what, we cannot allow the Tukan People to easily cross the lake; even if we can’t annihilate them completely, we must severely damage their main force so they can’t rapidly advance to Tavelan from Cesk, buying King Yasan and the Felen Allied Forces ti to land.”

“I agree.”

“I also agree.”

Regarding Gaven’s re-proposed Ice Great Wall plan, the Laiserman Witches raised no objections this ti, passing it unanimously.

The battle for the Elental Totem Trees ignited by the Dark Sacrifice was slightly won due to the Dark Witch’s intricate conspiracies. Not only did it seize the Earth Totem Tree and seal a Haslan Witch, but it also completely disrupted the elental balance in the Laiserman Kingdom.

The weather took a sharp turn for the worse, with temperatures reaching the lowest in Laiserman Kingdom’s history, over fifty degrees below zero that very night. Mosantiel Peninsula experienced frequent earthquakes, mostly level three and four minor tremors, yet it was still thrown into chaos, causing panic among the populace.

Both the Laiserman and Tukan people were frantically preparing, knowing that a decisive battle impacting their future fate would soon erupt.

In fact, the attention of the greater Felen was drawn to the rapidly freezing Lake Asen.

As Gaven predicted, after two days and nights of harsh cold, once the Lake Asen ice could support large-scale troop movents, the northward Tukan Army led by Khan Yamun collectively marched southward.

They didn’t take the rugged and challenging mountain paths but sprinted across the flat ice surface of Lake Asen.

The benefits of doing this are apparent. Even though the ice is relatively slippery and unsuitable for galloping, its smoothness isn’t comparable to navigating the Laiserman Kingdom’s highland mountain regions.

Furthermore, the Tukan People were well-prepared, having pre-made nurous sleds and even replaced many warhorses’ horseshoes with custom anti-slip ones.

To prevent the naval forces from launching attacks from beneath the ice, the Tukan People didn’t penetrate deep into Lake Asen, but advanced swiftly along the shallow waters.

Seeing how cautious the enemy was, the Laiserman Kingdom decisively abandoned harassnt; the waters there were too shallow to effectively deploy the naval forces. Moreover, being too close to the shore risked many Tukan people who fell into the icy waters escaping back to the shore, greatly reducing casualties, and it was better to focus more energy on preparations.
