Capítulo 1864: Chapter 887: Strategic Military Conference (Part 3)
“Dispense with the formalities.” King Yasan waved his hand, saying, “The direction of the upcoming war depends on the execution of your plan. If you can’t delay the enemy for more than eight days, the war will beco very troubleso.”
King Yasan looked at Gaven with an extrely complex expression, knowing he was a double-edged sword.
Never had he expected this double-edged sword to be so sharp.
Not only did it leave the enemy covered in wounds, but also cut him, the wielder, deep to the bone.
The departure and landing tis of the Felen Allied Forces were not set arbitrarily.
They were the results of comprehensive evaluations from various angles with prophetic magic and strategy by the war mages of the Koer Kingdom.
Landing at the chosen ti, whether in terms of timing, location, or personnel, would align with the Felen Allied Forces, greatly increasing their odds of victory.
Who would have thought that Gaven, the ddler of fate, would throw everything into chaos.
The prophetic magic failed completely, putting the Felen Allied Forces in an awkward position.
Yet no one could bla Gaven for this, as prophecy is just prophecy, ant for reference, not as a firm testant to future events.
No one knows whether, without Gaven’s involvent, everything would have gone as the prophecy foretold.
Even the God of Prophecy, Savras, cannot guarantee the truth of his prophecies. If his abilities were miraculous and powerful enough, he would not have been defeated by Azus, the God of Mages, and imprisoned for millennia.
Gaven picked up on the hidden implications and asked to confirm, “Your Majesty, do you an the Allied Army needs eight days to fully land at Tavelan?”
“Yes.” King Yasan nodded, “It’s my responsibility. My intelligence system misjudged the freezing ti of Lake Asen. I thought we had ample ti to prepare for war, only to find we couldn’t even make it ashore.”
The King of Koer, as always, generously shouldered all bla, without ntioning that Gaven might have caused this.
The Earth Spirit Witch interjected, “It’s our responsibility. The early freezing of Lake Asen resulted from the chaotic elents caused by our war with the Tukan People and the Dark Witch’s Allied Army.”
“This responsibility can’t be placed on you. You’ve already shouldered too much for this war. This is war, after all; anything can happen, and we should have considered that variable. Failing to do so was a mistake.” King Yasan insisted.
“There’s no need for you two to bla yourselves. If anyone is to bla, it’s the invaders. Our imdiate task is to consider how to delay the Tukan Army for eight days. This mission is extrely challenging; covering hundreds of kiloters each day is routine for the Tukan People.” Gaven, the instigator, brought the topic back to the main issue.
Discussing this is the least aningful; with this energy, it’s better to think about how to deal with the enemy.
“Commander Gaven is still so level-headed, while I’ve fallen into old patterns.” King Yasan laughed heartily, “Before this, let introduce you to a fellow warrior. I believe no introduction is necessary; you should know each other.”
King Yasan pointed to the left, at a woman akin to flas.
This person not only possessed fiery red hair but also wore fire-red armor, a fire-red cape, full red lips, and fla-like eyes, exuding charisma akin to flas. Just being stared at by her gave one the illusion of being ignited, making one involuntarily want to throw themselves into the flas, knowing full well they’d be reduced to ashes, yet charge in unhesitatingly.
Once you’ve seen a woman with such unique charm, she’s hard to forget.
Gaven imdiately recognized her identity, Captain Rayana Ross of the Red Crow rcenary Brigade, one of his strong competitors for the title of Rockland Duke. He nodded and smiled, extending his greetings, “Captain Rayana, long ti no see.”
“Mr. Gaven, glad to see you’re well.” Rayana equally nodded in acknowledgnt, neither humble nor overbearing.
King Yasan explained from the side, “Captain Rayana is proficient in rcenary combat tactics. The Red Crow rcenary Brigade she leads was among the first to independently arrive in the Cesk Kingdom, and she has already contacted over five thousand rcenaries.
They have already started sabotaging roads from the direction of Tavelan, setting traps, and establishing checkpoints to delay the Tukan People’s marching speed. I hope you two can cooperate sincerely, avoiding misunderstandings and conflicts.”
In this Tukan War, Gaven has altered many things, but so have remained as before, especially concerning the Felen Allied Forces.
In a previous life, Rayana rose to prominence in the war against the Tukan People. With her exceptional political acun, she thrived among the various rcenaries, fully utilizing the strong individual and small group capabilities of rcenaries. Much like a wolf pack, they ventured deep into enemy lines, conducting harassnt, greatly limiting the Tukan People’s scouting abilities, contributing significantly to the final victory of the Felen Allied Forces.
Gaven replied with a smile, “Naturally. Our War Chariot Legion went on this adventure past the Tukan Army not only to get ahead and slow their progress but because our chariots are loaded with the fine spoils from the Battle of Lake Asen. We intend to collaborate with the rcenaries who arrived early and the local ones to maximize the value of these spoils.”
Having been a rcenary himself, Gaven never underestimated these people.
Because these individuals often tread the dangerous edges of the world, many great adventuring heroes were called adventurers or rcenaries before becoming heroes, as they mostly took jobs for pay.
This typically places their professional growth at the forefront in this world.
rcenaries can be described as a mixed group, comprising both fresh novices and burgeoning dragons alike.
