Valley Calendar 1360.
On the 16th day of Winter Claw, the Tukan People crossed the lake completely.
On the 18th day of Winter Claw, Shuangxing Town fell, the entire town was slaughtered, leaving no chickens or dogs behind.
On the 21st day of Winter Claw, the City of Tel held out for only half a day before it completely fell; all the life within beca either followers coerced into the new Lord of Murder Yan or were murdered and transford into undead, becoming a part of his army.
On the 23rd day of Winter Claw, the day the Tukan Army arrived, was the day of Feshant’s fall; the Seth rchants there willingly opened the city gates, welcoming the Tukan Army in, attempting to ensure their own safety, only to once again confirm the Tukan People’s brutality, facing choices identical to Tel’s, without a third option.
On the 24th day of Winter Claw, when the Tukan Army arrived at Fent Town, it was already an abandoned city; those capable had fled to Tavelan in advance, while those unable had scattered into the wilderness. To ordinary people, although the wilderness was perilous, it at least offered a chance of survival. However, falling into the hands of those inhumane Tukan People was a guaranteed death sentence.
At this ti, both the Felen Allied Forces and the Tukan Army were several days away from Tavelan, and even the God of Prophecy couldn’t determine which army would reach Tavelan first, placing this Golden City in unprecedented turmoil.
The Golden City.
Literally, a city flowing with gold, where many rchants made their first fortunes.
Located at the western end of the Golden Road, it served as a distribution center for goods from the Kartu Continent, especially from the Far East Empire.
Delicate silk as smooth as a pure maiden.
Colorful, breathtaking ceramics.
A small pinch of spices could transform food fit to be called dog food into an incredibly savory dish.
Gentle, boneless Far Eastern dancers adept in the art of allure.
No matter which it was, they were highly sought after on the Felen Continent, sotis even more valuable than gold of equal weight, such as silk and spices.
Ordinary people were not qualified to enjoy such delicacies, only the nobles could afford them, and they were only brought out at banquets.
Many rchants needed to safely transport just such a wagonload of goods back to their city to turn their fortunes around and walk the path of success.
In terms of scale, not even Waterdeep City, let alone Baldur’s Gate or West Gate, could compare to Tavelan, but in developnt speed, if it claid second, no city dared claim first.
In less than thirty years, the city grew from an obscure port to its current scale.
Though trade with the Kartu Continent began four centuries ago, it was limited by the path and the relatively closed policies of the Soaring Dragon Empire, resulting in intermittent trade controlled by a handful of families.
The Golden Road was fully opened less than half a century ago, but the Tukan’s rise in the Endless Wilderness caused intentional blockage, leading to decreased trade volu on this route over the last decade.
Yet even so, the wealth it generated was incomparable to ordinary trade routes, maintaining Tavelan’s unparalleled developnt speed, attracting nurous rchants to squeeze into this city.
That was the case at least half a month ago.
But now, countless people are racing to flee this city.
"Barbarians from the Endless Wilderness are coming, they are humanoid beasts who know only how to wield sword and blade, and once in their hands, we will be roasted like pigs and sheep over the fire."
"Do not panic, our Tavelan is not the sa as Tel and Feshant, we have city walls over thirty ters high, countless city defense chanisms, and even fifty thousand hired troops; our city is impregnable, and those Tukan People, whether cavalry or undead, can hardly conquer our city in a short ti.
We don’t need to defeat them, just hold them off for three to five days until the Felen Allied Forces led by King Yasan land.
Victory will be ours, that is a force of over a hundred thousand Elite troops, with just the warships and ships transporting them totaling eight hundred."
"If we were facing ordinary enemies, what you said could indeed serve as protection, but unfortunately, we are not facing ordinary enemies this ti.
Their Khan is the new shell of the God of Murder Bar, this Evil God is fiercer and more malevolent than before, having declared war on all deities, he will ruthlessly devour everyone’s soul just to regain all he once lost.
The Felen Allied Forces can’t be relied upon either; their primary concern is not Tavelan’s survival, but securing victory in this war.
If they find the odds of holding Tavelan aren’t high, they might even skip landing here and move to the City of Usr in the Great Valley."
"Indeed, the new Chief Quartermaster of the Felen Allied Forces arrived just a day ago with a troop possessing hundreds of colossal war chariots, and they have shown no intention of entering Tavelan to strengthen the defense; instead, they are busy transferring military supplies."
