These Death Screars were exceptionally stifled against the Shadow Army, never finding the opportunity to unleash their combat prowess.
But against these Shadow Thieves, they were exceptionally brutal.
No matter how adept the Shadow Thieves were at utilizing shadows, transforming their own shadows and even part of their bodies into Shadows, in essence, they were still human, still biological beings, still susceptible to the damaging effects of negative energy, at most with higher resistance.
The death scream of a Death Screar could forcibly jolt the Shadow Thieves from their lurking shadows.

"It’s my lord coming to the rescue; I knew my lord wouldn’t leave us alone."

One shadow after another soared into the sky, imdiately diving into the Divine Shadow Energy Column, escaping this deathtrap.
