Capítulo 1966: Chapter 921: Patrolling the Territory (Part 3)
When he patrolled the territory or handled territory affairs in Battle Valley, he always rode on Aivensa.
Over ti, it created a false appearance for people.
Those below couldn’t clearly see whether there was soone on Aivensa’s back.
They might just assu it was Gaven patrolling the territory.
“Indeed, they can’t do without here.” The Giant Dragon girl nodded, deeply satisfied with her vanity.
Now, patrolling the territory of Battle Valley every day had beco one of her life’s great pleasures.
Not just because of the Battle Valley people’s enthusiasm, but also because all kinds of interesting things happened here.
In terms of popularity, no matter how high she was in Battle Valley, she couldn’t surpass Dragon Oak Territory, where the Gnolls worshipped her like a God.
However, the Gnolls’ life was monotonous; aside from work, it was basically sleep, with little personal demand, if any, belonging to collective nature.
Once the novelty wore off, it beca sowhat tedious.
The people of Battle Valley were different; although it was collective living here too, everyone had their own small pursuits and goals.
There were various entertainnt programs too.
This was thanks to Regina’s propaganda departnt, which not only held various projection shows in Battle Valley to increase territorial cohesion, reporting the glorious achievents Gaven made in The Eastern Desolation, but also actively organized the lieges to prepare entertainnt activities, fostering exchange performances or tours.
In any case, there were many projects, and each place had its own.
For a Red Copper Dragon who loved socializing and was committed to being the greatest poet, this place was the ideal destination.
Especially when so of her poems were improved with Regina’s help and sung as nursery rhys in Battle Valley, her sense of belonging to Battle Valley reached an extre level.
Besides those large performance venues, Aivensa most favored the public schools in various villages.
Whether listening in invisibly or joining them, incarnated as a young girl, and learning with them, it was a joy she had never been able to experience before.
Aside from spiritual satisfaction, she could also taste various different cuisines.
No matter where Aivensa landed, she would be warmly received, with delicious food inevitably offered.
Because many things are mutual, the benefits of Aivensa patrolling Battle Valley over the years are evident.
Ferocious predators in the wilderness would obediently stay away from the village crowds, sparing them much patrol work, ensuring safety accordingly.
Aivensa was very willing to accept those village bounty commissions to hunt those monsters ignoring her existence; after getting tired of human food, occasionally changing her appetite was a nice choice.
After comforting the Giant Dragon girl, Gaven seized the opportunity to extend an invitation to Katherine, “Lady, I wonder if I have the honor to invite you to inspect and tour the territory together?”
“It’s my honor.” Katherine readily accepted.
So things don’t need to be said too straightforwardly; her relationship with the Yin Hong Cult and Gaven changes as his relationship with Lady Strategy changes.
When Gaven was just favored by Lady Strategy and half a Chosen, the relationship was one of collaborative win-win.
When Gaven beca one of Lady Strategy’s Chosen, they beca complenting each other and advancing together.
Now, as Gaven has jumped to beco Lady Strategy’s chief Chosen, even more integration and joint developnt are necessary.
Aivensa proudly transford back into a Giant Dragon, while Katherine summoned a crimson warhorse, her Animal Companion.
Yet it’s not an ordinary warhorse, but a Wind-ride Horse, like the Pegasus and Yueju, belonging to the intelligent horse species; similar to Yueju, they could easily be mistaken for ordinary horses if unaware.
Their most unique trait was their innate Wind Control Ability, which not only gave them the ability to fly in the sky but also provided a running bonus, making them one of the fastest and most stable creatures in the world.
Whether flying or running, they were influenced by the wind.
If a tailwind prevailed, they received a flying bonus based on wind speed; the faster the wind, the greater the bonus.
If facing a headwind, they weren’t affected; neither a bonus nor a reduction.
As the young Red Copper Dragon took off with Gaven, Katherine rode the Wind-ride Horse, closely following, benefiting from the wind stirred up by the Red Copper Dragon.
Due to latitude and oceanic reasons, Battle Valley’s spring arrived much earlier than in The Eastern Desolation.
Though it’s still cold there, here the frost had thawed, spring blossod, entering the busiest season of the year; from above, the territory bustled with busy figures everywhere.
When both riders appeared in the skies above Battle Valley, there wasn’t the warm welco scene one might expect.
Quite the opposite, those below treated it as a major threat.
Ordinary villagers imdiately hid inside the nearest buildings or sheltered spots.
While soldiers or militia rushed to their sentry posts.
So Fast Riders dashed out, galloping along the path, with sharp whistle sounds echoing continuously; hearing this whistle, wilderness lieges rushed to nearby sheltered spots.
In a very short ti, the initially bustling territory showed no idle figures.
The scene was replaced with cold arrows pointing at the sky from Ballista Carts, and tightly wound catapults ready to shoot.
