The advancent target is, of course, the skeleton soldiers.
A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
First, let’s fully excavate the potential of these low-level skeleton soldiers, to the point where, when facing half-giant skeleton soldiers, the six-ard skeleton soldiers still have an advantage over the four-ard ones, at least they can take down an enemy before being destroyed.
The four-ard skeleton soldiers had just completed their enhancent and advanced to six-ard skeleton soldiers when a large number of skeleton soldiers appeared in their sight.
What t their eyes were the half-giant skeleton soldiers they had previously eliminated, mixed with a considerable number of skeleton giants.
The Dog Demon’s previous guesses were correct; the skeleton giants within the Giant Bone King’s territory predominantly consisted of false giant skeletons. It was easy to discern that most of these skeleton giants were transford from troll or ogre skeletons, with heights ranging from two and a half ters to five ters. Occasionally, one could see a few true skeleton giants over five ters tall, which most likely belonged to the lord level.
Giants were never known for their numbers. On the Felen Continent, even during the most glorious Age of Giants, the Giant Empire, which spanned millions of square kiloters, never had a giant population exceeding a million.
This is related both to their racial traits and their high consumption; a territory could scarcely support a highly concentrated number of giants, especially a giant army.
In the Giant Empire, the majority was made up of the various intelligent beings they enslaved, with giants simply serving as the high and mighty lords, enjoying all that the slaves provided.
Such was naturally also the case within the impossible depths of the Material Plane.
Among the first wave of attackers, the most conspicuous was undoubtedly a group of skeleton mammoth cavalry.
Their size alone was quite astonishing, with an average height over four ters, tusks over one ter long, and ridden by skeleton giants over three ters. When they charged in groups with heads lowered, their ferocity was even more savage than that of a super skeleton minotaur!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
But precisely because they were so conspicuous, they attracted devastating calamity upon themselves.
Before they could complete their charge, hundreds of massive bone spheres simultaneously soared into the air, enlarging as they flew, and viciously shattered upon them.
Crash! Crash! Crash!
These bone spheres, exceeding two ters in diater, smashed all, whether they were skeleton mammoths or skeleton giants, into pieces on the spot, many even having their soul fire extinguished by the impact.
Countless bone fragnts blasted outward under the powerful explosion.
Even though skeletons have a natural reduction in piercing damage (due to gaps between bones), they couldn’t withstand the sheer density of the bone fragnts, causing many to be sent flying and shattered.
Yet the residual negative energy shockwave among them healed those skeletons that weren’t entirely destroyed, making their soul fire bright once again.
Even so, after a round of bombardnt, the numbers of the attacking skeleton army significantly thinned, and their power greatly diminished by the ti they reached the line.
They had no ans to shred the dense formations of six-ard skeleton soldiers, instead finding themselves surrounded and rcilessly chopped into pieces by countless bone blades.
The one who unleashed such divine prowess was naturally the skeleton cannon.
Ever since activating the legendary skeleton manipulation ability, Gaven and the Dog Demon worked tirelessly day and night to produce these mass-attack weapons.
Even if made from ordinary skeleton remains, these consumables would completely break apart after just three to five shots.
However, firing even a single shot was profitable, as the materials were picked up from everywhere, whereas spell slots and psychic power points, akin to human strength, could not be accumulated but would recover over ti; not making them was a waste.
In ten days, they accumulated nearly over five hundred, with ninety percent being due to Gaven’s contributions. At this mont, his advantage as an Arcane Adept beca apparent; he possessed both psychic power points and spell slots for casting spells, aiding him in making the skeleton cannon.
The subsequent battle unfolded much like the previous planar backlash following godhood enhancents.
Gaven held the ho advantage, working at leisure, waiting for the undead to arrive in waves.
The interdiate-low level undead lords possessed so intelligence, striving to control their subordinates and prevent them from foolishly stumbling into traps.
But their ability to command was often very limited, controlling from a few thousand up to tens of thousands, the excess undead being beyond their control.
Once that portion of the undead was sent out, it would soon bring about their doom.
The enemy would undoubtedly seize the montum to counterattack, annihilating them completely.
And indeed, that was the case.
Gaven’s defensive formation was dynamic, like ocean tides, ebbing and flowing with the enemy’s offensive.
If the enemy’s assault was too swift, they would shrink back, waiting for the opponent to co, eliminating their living forces through positional warfare.
If the enemy was sluggish, they would swiftly push outward, eliminating them entirely, engulfing the Soul Pool and moving the main position here with it.
After all, the main force of the enemy was mindless, following Gaven and his cohort as they shifted their defense.
Gaven and his forces steadily advanced with slow yet firm steps, engulfing the territory of the Giant Bone King.
Soon, within Gaven’s skeleton army began to appear the special undead particular to the Giant Bone Domain.
The half-giant transformation of regular skeleton soldiers was a territorial trait of the Giant Bone Domain, while the special undead produced by the Soul Pool were not, as their production was related solely to the Soul Pool.
