391: Chapter 330: Too Deep into the Role_1 391: Chapter 330: Too Deep into the Role_1 “Thank you for the complint, but I’m afraid that’s sothing not even Mr.

Gaven could accomplish,” replied not Gaven, but the Half-Moon Colt itself.

“A Sage Horse Species?” Regina was taken aback, knowing that a Sage Horse Species is anything but ordinary.

She quickly apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn’t recognize you and spoke out of turn just now.”

Luna replied graciously, “That’s normal.

Often, I can’t distinguish between the various human races either.”

“I see,” said Regina with a look of understanding.

“I need to discuss other matters with Mr.

Gaven first, but let’s talk more when we’re free.”

“Alright, I’ve long heard of Miss Regina’s fa and hope to have the opportunity to listen to your songs,” Luna praised.

“The honor is mine,” Regina responded to Gaven with a raised eyebrow as if to say, why didn’t you tell earlier that your mount is a Sage Horse Species, saving from almost making a fool of myself.

Gaven replied with a shrug, an innocent expression on his face that clearly said, how could I have explained this situation to you?

Regina no longer dwelled on the small talk and turned the topic to the matter at hand: “Why did you choose to set the auction here, and not over at the manor?”

The auction stage built by Gaven and his people was situated on a small hill in the new village.

“The manor is closer to the river mouth, where the current is stronger, not suitable for a large number of boats to dock, nor convenient for loading and unloading goods.

This place is handier,” Gaven explained.

“Those rchants are here to make money, not to visit Weizemay Manor.

As long as there’s profit, they don’t care whether the na of Ghost Manor is real or not.”

“Most rchants do think that way,” Regina partially agreed, “but a small part of them indeed co for the reputation of Ghost Manor, and this part, often enough, are the biggest sponsors.”

“That’s an easy fix,” Gaven chuckled, “During the auction, we can set up surprise rewards.

The top ten bidders for Ghost Grape Wine will be invited to enjoy a banquet at Ghost Manor, experience unparalleled ghost-thed hospitality, and if they wish, I can even offer them a genuine ghost-thed one-day tour.”

“A ghost-thed banquet?

A ghost-thed one-day tour?” Regina’s interest was fully piqued, her beautiful eyes shining with enthusiasm.

Gaven had diagnosed the young woman: She was absolutely obsessed with ghosts, having more than a typical interest in anything ghostly.

When she first followed him and Darnell to the Weizemay Manor, her foresight might have played a part, but Gaven suspected her obsession with ghosts was also a factor.

“How far can this ghost-thed banquet go?

Does a ghost-thed one-day tour an experiencing the ghostly environnt, or does it involve transforming into a ghostly state?

Can I try it out in advance?” Regina felt she was being too direct and quickly added, “I’m not seeking this for personal reasons but to get a feel for the atmosphere in advance, so I can promote the auction better and prevent those interested from being disappointed.”

“I can arrange that, it will help us to get so feedback,” Gaven said, which was less about making arrangents and more about hiding certain things in Weizemay Manor that were not suitable for exposure.

As for the atmosphere, Gaven felt no need to further hype it up as it was already sufficient.

He, as the master, was unwilling to live there late at night, feeling his skin crawl at the thought.

It was even more so for ordinary people.

Many proclaid to love dragons from a distance, but ghosts were no different.

Once there, how many would wet their pants out of fear was still uncertain.

During their conversation, the group arrived at the top of the hill.

The orderly and joyous scene before them took Lord Ilt and his companions by surprise; many of these scenes seed only possible in fantasy moirs.

The Pikespirits, even during al tis, couldn’t keep still and energetically danced on the dining tables.

Taking a small piece of at from a Tesser Immigrant’s bowl, a spoonful of soup from a Demi-Human’s bowl, and tearing a small piece off a Gnoll’s pancake.

Regardless of race, instead of showing any displeasure at this uninvited snatching of food, they looked on with an expectant gaze whenever a tiny Fae Race passed by their bowls.

Because the Fae Race did not just take without giving sothing in return.

They carried a little bottle and dropped a bit of it into the bowls from which they took food, making the already delicious als even more appetizing.

When Lord Ilt and his group arrived, there were three long wooden dining tables unoccupied and already set with food.

The food was identical to what the lieges were eating: a bowl of fish soup with stewed vegetables, a piece of roast at, and a round pancake.

Without asking, it was clear that the food had been prepared especially for them, as the number of dishes matched the number of guests perfectly.

“Please,” Gaven said, pointing to the three dining tables and leaving the seating arrangents to Regina and Lord Ilt.

Regina gave straightforward instructions: “Gentlen to that table, ladies at this one.”

The two Cavalry Squads, having followed Lord Ilt and Regina for many years and seen much of the world, were well-trained and quickly managed to organize themselves and take their seats.

The Pikespirits peered curiously at the two newcor Cavalry Squads, their expressions ill-concealing their curiosity, yet not one dared to approach.

That they did not beco invisible upon seeing a bunch of strangers was considered progress from their recent training.

Gaven could only command, “Nicole, Nicole, Nicole, bring so people over to add fairy essence for our guests.”

“Okay, you, you, you, co with ,” Nicole selected three slightly more daring sisters.

Seeing them blush and about to beco invisible, she quickly added, “No invisibility, or I’ll pick soone else.”

The four Pikespirits, each with their own bottle of fairy essence, flew in front of the guests and added a drop of the clear, sparkling essence to each one’s bowl.

True to its na, the fragrance diffused delightfully.

Gaven explained on the side: “This is a speciality of their fairy race, an extracted essence of plants.

It makes the food tastier and more nutritious.

Many fairies offer this essence as a gesture of thanks when borrowing sothing, and many of you might have tasted it as children without knowing it.”

“So that’s what it is, no wonder I felt I’d slled this aroma sowhere before.”

“I’ve had it before, I’ve definitely eaten this in the past, that’s the taste I’ve been longing for all these years.

It turns out it wasn’t my mother’s cooking that worsened, but that fairies had stopped borrowing food from our ho.”

“Delicious, delicious, the difference between dishes with sesa oil and without is surprisingly big,”

“A al can evoke such nostalgia; I’m starting to miss ho a little, and my mother even more.”

Gaven had been worried that the warriors might not want to eat the seasoned dishes.

To his surprise, they were each more enthusiastic than the last, so even eating until tears stread down their faces.

Without asking, it was obvious that the taste had stirred their mories, and the person in those mories who had cooked for them was gone forever, never to be seen again.

This included Lord Ilt, though being more reserved and in better control of his emotions, his eyes rely reddened slightly.

After suppressing his swirling emotions, Lord Ilt asked, “Mr.

Gaven, could you sell so of this sesa oil?

This flavor, it reminds of a friend.”

Gaven shook his head with regret, “My lord, I am very sorry.

It’s not that we don’t want to sell it; we can’t.

This plant essence is closely related to the innate magic power of the Fae Race.

It can preserve its quality for ten to eight days in their hands, but once it reaches ordinary people, it completely sublimates within an hour, leaving nothing behind.

If my lord likes it, as long as you’re here, I guarantee you’ll have enough.”

Lord Ilt sighed with regret, “It seems that so beauties are destined to remain only in mory, but still, I want to thank Mr.

Gaven and our Fae friends for solving a mystery that’s troubled for many years.

So she was a mber of the Fae Race,”

Well, just from the last sentence, it was clear that this was yet another beautiful love story.

But such things, if not ntioned by the person themselves, should not be probed further.

After the al, the relationship between the two parties had drawn even closer.

After all, it was Regina who had dragged Lord Ilt here to back Gaven up.

And the situation Gaven had created here had indeed surpassed Lord Ilt’s expectations, causing him to look forward to the upcoming auction with uncontrollable anticipation.

He wanted to see just how much of a commotion these two young people could stir up here.

After their satisfying al, Gaven inevitably had to take Regina and Lord Ilt for a tour around Weizemay Manor.

Both were revisiting old haunts, yet each felt different emotions.

Lord Ilt’s last visit was two years ago when he had set up the Mist Barrier for Weizemay Manor.

At that ti, Weizemay Manor had not long been abandoned, and the whole affair hadn’t even started to unfold.

More accurately, the Mist Barrier he had set up back then was the catalyst that completely transford Weizemay Manor into Ghost Manor.

In his own words, back then, Weizemay Manor was simply a bit overgrown.

Given the lapse of ti, no matter what Weizemay Manor turned into, he wouldn’t be too surprised.

Regina’s case was different; she had been here just a month and a half ago and knew exactly how deserted it had beco.

Especially the vineyard outside the manor, which had grown out of shape, though laden with fruit, it wasn’t in an ideal state.

Now the entire vineyard had been completely rejuvenated.

The overgrown branches had been pruned, with no excess weeds or wildlife to be seen.

The yield still wasn’t exceptionally high, but at least the bunches were plump and each grape was full, heralding a great harvest for the year.

Regina originally wanted to ask Gaven how he had managed it.

But then she rembered the hundreds of Pikespirits and the Demi-Humans on the lake of Yewen seen at the earlier gathering.

Everything seed so inevitable; their familiarity and good coordination clearly weren’t developed overnight.

She guessed that the vineyard must have been their first point of collaboration.

With a Druid managing the fields, it would be hard not to have a bountiful and fertile harvest.

As soon as she stepped into Weizemay Manor, Regina’s thoughts were no longer on that, and she swallowed before saying, “How did you do it?”

Facing Gaven’s puzzled expression.

Regina elaborated, “How did you manage to make this place even more of a Ghost Manor than Ghost Manor itself?

You say there are no ghosts here, but no one would believe that… What’s that sound?

“Just the sound of sweeping,” Gaven pointed to the Awakened Broom not far away.

“@#…” Regina let out a curse.

“How co the broom is moving itself?”

“…” Gaven looked at Regina with a sowhat speechless expression, “Miss Regina, you’re a bit too caught up in the act.

You do know about Awakened Brooms, right?”

“(⊙o⊙)…

Ahahaha…” Regina gave an embarrassed laugh.

“I forgot, my apologies.

I just forgot that.

I didn’t expect Mr.

Gaven, you’d even get your hands on such a haunted Divine Artifact.

You really are a master at creating atmosphere.

But I suggest not to keep the Awakened Broom here—it’s better placed in one of the corridors of the manor, the longer and more secluded ones.

Don’t put it in front, but at the back.

Let it start sweeping after soone passes by, following behind…”
