481: Chapter 419 City Conquest Battle_1 481: Chapter 419 City Conquest Battle_1 The construction techniques and overall layout of snoel are nothing short of miraculous, extending from bottom to top in five distinct tiers, forming a three-dinsional, intertwined structure.
In so areas they are separated, and in others they intertwine.
A multitude of crystal arch bridges are used within, seamlessly integrating living rock towers into the mountain itself, with each tower having two convenient entryways, one above and one below.
Of course, that’s for those without flying mounts.
For Gaven, the most convenient thod was still to airdrop with Laina.
That is, as long as the Mystlock Locks of snoel were in a state of collapse or shutdown as they were now.
Normally, such large cities prohibit flying, and with Mystlocks, the bans are directly incorporated into the locks.
Even without Mystlocks, there is typically aerial control.
When the Necrotic Maze Lock was forcefully ruptured by an unrestrained infusion of power from the Divine Root, snoel bore the brunt, not to ntion the living tree structures—every type of plant was perated with Corruption Power, and the living rock structures were also tainted gray-black.
To restart the city, one must first completely eliminate the Corruption Power here.
“Huh?
So intelligent beings have already taken action concerning this place?” Gaven exclaid in surprise.
snoel was not an empty city; rather, a struggle for control of the city was unfolding.
One side had skin smooth as ebony, deep purple-violet eyes, and hair that glittered like silver, dressed scantily, short in stature, and nimble, their presence shrouded in darkness like a shadow—none other than the Dwarves Elves.
The other side consisted of a race of tall individuals, averaging over two ters in height, with rocky-textured skin dotted with mottled patterns, bony external protrusions the size of coins distributed across their necks, shoulders, and arms, also dressed scantily, revealing swathes of unique flesh, especially where the patterns were.
The weapons they held—be it axes, greatswords, or longbows—were all oversized and seed rather intimidating.
These Half-Giants displayed unbelievable dexterity, running swiftly through the complex terrain of snoel as if on level ground.
They were a group of the Golia Tribe, a Half-Giant race not uncommon in Felen, but not often seen because they belong to the mountainous races, preferring to live on mountaintops and moving from one peak to another.
You might see individual mbers of the Golia Tribe on the plains, but you’ll never encounter an entire tribe, unless they are migrating from one mountain peak to another.
Persuading a mber of the Golia Tribe to abandon their life in the mountains is as hard as convincing a Dwarf to leave a mining tunnel or a Fae Race to leave the forest.
The mountains forge the unique characteristics of the Golia Tribe—but are they still mbers of the Golia Tribe if they abandon the mountains?
Both the Dwarves Elves and the Golia Tribe shared one common trait—the varying degrees of Necrotic traces upon their bodies—undeniably, they were victims of the Moando Servants as well.
Common circumstances did not unite them but instead filled them with lethal competition.
Both were heading in the sa direction, towards the tallest building in snoel.
It was a Crystal Spire, situated at the top of the mountain range where the city was located, the central point of the city.
Unlike the other buildings tarnished gray-black, it retained its original color, crystal-clear all over, with energy seemingly pulsing within, most eye-catching of all the slowly rotating Crystal Ball at its peak—any discerning observer would recognize it as no ordinary object.
Although he hadn’t communicated with the two competing groups below, Gaven was one hundred percent certain they were after the Crystal Ball.
“Let’s go there too,” said Gaven, spreading the specially made Shadow Cloak behind him.
It suddenly grew two sizes larger, shrouding not only him but also the Half-Moon Colt, stealthily concealing them both with Shadow Cloak.
That’s the advantage of being able to custom-order Magic Items—you can tailor and modify them to your needs.
Even though he didn’t know the specific effects of the Crystal Ball, he planned to secure it first.
At the very least, he couldn’t allow it to fall into the hands of the Dwarves Elves.
In Felen, the Dwarves Elves are a notoriously infamous example, only surpassed by Demons and Devils.
There’s a dark joke in Felen about the Dwarves—if you capture a Dwarves Elf, there’s no need for a Judgnt, just execute them on the spot, ninety-nine percent of the ti it would not be unjust.
The sole exception being the benevolent followers of the Dark Maiden Elistraee.
When surface forces, particularly, clash with the Dwarves Elves, aiding the forr is almost invariably the correct choice—provided the helper stands on the side of good.
After observing the small-scale conflict for several minutes, Gaven discerned the direction the battle was taking.
Whether it was the Golia or the Dwarves Elves, their objective was clear, and their combat experience with the opponent was plentiful—it obviously wasn’t their first encounter.
The Golia held an absolute advantage in individual strength.
Even with the aid of Spell-Like Abilities, three or two Dwarves Elves were no match for a single Golia.
Moreover, the Golia possessed teamwork that the Dwarves Elves lacked—a trust born of life-or-death reliance on one another.
When they had one or two comrades behind them, they could launch an attack without hesitation, knowing that they wouldn’t be struck from behind before their allies fell.
