Only two crowns have co to snoel, and the people of one crown are resistant to moving to snoel and have chosen to stay in Mir Forest.
They have been entrusted with the care of the saplings in the forest.
If we wish to transplant the saplings here, we must reach an agreent with them first.”
I think there is room for negotiation on this matter.
At the very least, we should bring Huang Crown here to experience the environnt and et the City Lord himself.
We cannot let past views guide him and lead to erroneous judgnts.”
Blue Crown said helplessly, “You know Huang Crown as well as I do, given how stubborn and obstinate he can be.
It’s not as if we haven’t known him for just a year or two.
His agreent for the three crowns to act separately was already his greatest concession.
Convincing him to change his mind will not be easy.”
“How do we know he won’t agree if we don’t try?
Leave this matter to ,” Lv Guan volunteered, “I will try to persuade Huang Crown to join us in snoel.”
People’s thoughts can change.
It was he who suggested that the three crowns act separately, and now it was he who proposed persuading another crown to act together.
“Alright, this matter will be left to Lord Lv Guan.
If there is anything that needs my cooperation, just let know,” Gaven knew it was better not to ddle rashly in such family affairs.
If he could persuade the other crown to join, it would be a cause for universal celebration.
Even if he couldn’t persuade them, he would suffer no loss.
After all, one cannot expect the whole world to revolve around oneself.
As long as they remained in Mir Forest, as long as they were not enemies, there was always a chance to bring them under his command.
Gaven was confident in that.
“Nothing for the mont, but if there is a need, I will inform the City Lord,” Lv Guan promptly replied, “I wonder if there are areas where the Lord needs our help?
We owe you so much, and we would like to be given so tasks to show our gratitude.”
After a mont of consideration, Gaven replied, “There is indeed one matter where your assistance could be useful, though I am not sure whether you would be willing to take it on.”
The mont they heard Gaven’s tone, the expressions of the two Sodalite Treant leaders grew serious.
Being intelligent, they deeply understood the biggest conflicts between their race and humans, which mainly revolved around forest and tree resource managent.
A slight mishap could turn a harmonious alliance into a dispute over principles, potentially even leading to enmity and confrontation.
In the end, it was the more diplomatic Lv Guan who stepped forward and said, “City Lord, perhaps you could specify the nature of the task.
We can co to an agreent later, especially on sensitive matters; it’s best if we keep common Sodalite Treants unaware.
Their temperant is mostly mild, but when it cos to the forest, they can beco extre and difficult to persuade.”
“Understood,” Gaven nodded, acknowledging the situation, and then activated the teleport once more, bringing the two Treants and himself into a new room.
The room was dimly lit, with a mix of auras, particularly discomforting for the two Sodalite Treants.
They could sll the corruption power, the scent of death, and the strong aroma of tenacious life.
Before their eyes were piles of lumber, neatly stacked into two separate mounds.
These logs had one thing in common: they were all stained black from the inside out, and many twisted roots and branches silently conveyed the agony of their death.
The pile on the east was only emitting a faint negative energy.
The pile on the west was saturated with dense negative energy inside and out.
Five willow Treants were surrounding the western pile, occasionally taking a few pieces from the top to add to the eastern pile, as the dense negative energy within had already been mostly absorbed.
Upon seeing these trees, the two Sodalite Treants could almost imdiately discern their condition.
Even their normally inexpressive wooden faces showed a surge of intense anger as they spoke in unison, “Are these trees the ones hard by the Followers of the Evil God?”
Gaven nodded and explained, “You must be aware of the unique nature of the Corruption Power.
If left to natural processes, several centuries would pass before Mir Forest could eradicate this corruption.
Through repeated trials, we found that Undead Energy is the quickest thod to devour the Corruption Power, and I happen to own an estate capable of this.
Therefore, I collected these woods back to the Tower of Dominion, where the Undead Energy consus the corruption, after which we extract the Undead Energy, turning them into usable timber.”
What is good and what is bad is all a matter of perspective.
It was obviously Gaven’s own desire for these pieces of Dark Wood that led him to exert so much effort in transporting and purifying them, with the cleansing of the corruption simply being an added bonus.
Yet, having frad it this way, he appeared to be the vanguard in purifying the corruption of Mir Forest, with acquiring the Dark Wood rely incidental.
Even though it was the sa act, the nature had completely changed.
The two Sodalite Treants showed deep respect and bowed to Gaven, saying, “We thank the City Lord for everything done for Mir Forest.
What do you need us to do, City Lord?
We shall not shirk from our duties in this matter.”
They clearly misunderstood that Gaven needed their help with this issue.
“Please wait a mont,” Gaven said, disappearing for a few seconds before returning with a sizeable wooden tool beside him.
