678: Chapter 494 The Value of Swift Roc Dragon Nest_2 678: Chapter 494 The Value of Swift Roc Dragon Nest_2 If the index of wildness was set to a hundred, the index of the Wild Magic Zone shrouding this place would reach at least sixty —— when casting magic here, there is a sixty percent chance of encountering problems, and those would be the malignant kind.

The closer one gets to the Swift Roc Dragon Nest, the more severe this situation becos.

The influence is mutual; the Wild Magic Zone enhances the Swift Roc’s Twisting Spell abilities, and in return, the Swift Roc makes the situation here even more extre, forming the so-called Nest Attributes and Nest Abilities.

Gaven had difficulty determining whether his Undead Vengeance domain could suppress the Twisting Spell Aura of the Swift Roc; after all, both belonged to Law Force, and the ultimate confrontation would be about whose priority ranking was higher and whose power was stronger.

Taking control of the Swift Roc Dragon Nest did not require much effort.

For the Swift Roc had enslaved mostly Gnolls as their monstrous servants.

With the head of the Swift Roc leading the way, a young Red Dragon reinforcing the rear, and Gnoll spies pounding the drum at the side.

Without even calling for the Swift Roc Shadows, those Gnolls that belonged to the Swift Roc bowed their heads in submission, and Gaven claid them within minutes.

This is another major characteristic of the Gnolls; they are loyal only to the living, victorious Giant Dragons.

This is related to the fact that Giant Dragons often fight each other over treasure, with the losing Giant Dragon left with nothing and the victorious one obtaining all the property, including the Gnolls as part of it.

This characteristic is both an advantage and a drawback.

The advantage, naturally, is when one is the victor and seeks to incorporate the Gnolls of other Giant Dragons.

The drawback is that this sa scenario might happen to oneself, especially after failing in a struggle against a powerful Giant Dragon, do not expect these Gnolls to fight to the death for you.

Although Gaven had always been trying to rectify this, the results were not particularly good —— many racial characteristics are intertwined, and by denying the disadvantages, one might also negate the advantages, sotis resulting in a loss that outweighs the gains.

Finding a solution that satisfied both sides was extrely difficult.

Clad in Combat Armor, Gaven sat majestically on the Dwarf Throne, which had been abandoned for no one knows how long, one foot stepping on the severed head of the Swift Roc, while the young Red Dragon crouched at his side, eyeballing the group of Gnolls below with an expression that said, if anyone disobeyed, he would use them as a snack.

In fact, he had already done so.

One was an Eagle-Tribe Gnoll too loyal to the Swift Roc, the other a common Gnoll that tried to flee.

With the precedent set by these two Gnolls, the rest of them beca utterly submissive, as obedient and honest as they could possibly be.

“Who among you is the leader here?

Step forward and speak,” Gaven scanned the more uniquely appearing Eagle-Tribe Gnolls.

There were two types of Gnolls here, one being the common Gnolls, and the other was these Eagle-Tribe Gnolls.

These Eagle-Tribe Gnolls, in strict terms, also count as Dragonized Gnolls since their Dragonization ca from the Swift Roc; therefore, both in appearance and ability, they are inclined towards the features of the Swift Roc.

For instance, they have higher magic resistance than common Gnolls, and spells targeted at them have a certain chance of being twisted, although the probability is quite low.

But having such a group of Gnolls around oneself would certainly further enhance the Twisting Spell Aura of the Swift Roc.

They must be the confidants of the Swift Roc; the high-ranking Commanders would only likely co from their ranks.

The Eagle-Tribe Gnolls were shoving each other hesitantly, none willing to step forward and claim the position.

But Gaven wasn’t completely ignorant of the situation; he turned his head slightly towards the Gnoll spy, “Casar.”

The Gnoll spy pointed and said, “Him, it was him who led us here; the Gold Coins we brought were also taken into the Dragon’s Nest by his people.”

Casar could not be sure if the Eagle-Tribe Gnoll he pointed out was the most powerful here, but certainly, those who had access to the Dragon’s Nest must be trusted and held great autonomy.

With no choice but to step forward after being directly nad, the Eagle-Tribe Gnoll bowed to Gaven and said, “Aka has seen Lord Commander; since Lord Alarada never established a Leader among us, I did not know how to answer your question just now.”

Gaven ignored whether the Gnoll’s words were true or false and said directly, “There was no leader before, but there is now.

From this mont forth, you are the Leader of the Gnolls here; all Gnolls must follow your orders.

If there’s a problem, I’ll hold you accountable first, introduce to the situation here.”

The expression on this Eagle-Tribe Gnoll’s face was not excitent but bitterness; being a leader in such a manner was no easy task, as any slight mishap could turn one into the sacrificial chicken used to warn the monkeys.

However, in this situation, he only had the right to accept, not to refuse; he bowed again and asked, “May I know what the Commander would like to learn about?”

“Start with the origin of this place and the composition of your people; what races are present, and how many people do each have?” Not able to expect much from soldiers not trained by himself, Gaven had to squeeze information out bit by bit.

This Eagle-Tribe Gnoll nad Aka had so intellect and, after hearing Gaven’s first question, had so direction; he respectfully answered, “This ancient Dwarf Castle shares its na with this forest, called Nanklept; it is unknown whether the forest was nad after it or it after the forest.”
