Two fireball techniques were just the beginning.
Headsized rocks fell like rain from the fog, smashing down.
Those survivors were battered, bloodied, and so were even instantly deprived of life.
Even the not-so-smart goblins understood by now that they’d been used by a third party.
Not to ntion, under Andy, that unusually smart mount—a Zuo Lang—was sneakily crouching, ready to slink away.
But the third party hidden in the shadows was far more troubleso than they could ever imagine.
No sooner had the wave of fire from the fireball technique dissipated than vines in the freshest shades of green began to snake out from the ground below, coiling ruthlessly around all that existed nearby.
Entanglent spell.
Not just one entanglent spell.
But three of them in total.
They enveloped the entire caravan as well as the ground around it for over a dozen ters.
The opponent was intent on completely annihilating both the rchant caravan and the goblin wolf cavalry.
Hou!
The Zuo Lang could not hide any longer, its back bulging wildly as its forepaws elongated, transforming from plain wolf claws into hand-like talons with five sharp and long digits.
Its face also began to distort, its ears protruding and becoming as pointed as those of goblins, its snout jutting out and twisting into a grotesque hybrid of a hobgoblin and wolf, so ugly and twisted, it was worse than goblins and hobgoblins alike.
“Dog…
dog demon…” Andy scread in horror, never having imagined that the mount he had ridden for nearly ten days was a dog demon in disguise.
The dog demon, returned to its original form, had no ti for chit-chat with Andy, rising up and flinging him from its back as it began to distort space around its body, preparing to cast a spell-like escape.
“Since you’ve co, you think you can run?
Psychic bullet,” A cold sneer descended from the fog above.
The dog demon felt as if a gunshot rang out in its head, plunging its vision into darkness for an instant.
By the ti it ca through, a human man was already standing in front of it.
Well, more precisely, a half-elf boy, whose facial hair hadn’t fully grown in yet.
However, the dog demon wouldn’t underestimate him, nor would it underestimate the Keen Edge Longsword at close quarters, and without hesitation, it tried to initiate a Flash Spell to escape the battlefield once more.
As magic began to surge around it, the dog demon felt another hamr blow to the head—no, sothing had exploded inside its brain.
The Flash Spell was interrupted yet again.
By the ti the dog demon regained its senses, searing pain emanated from its right forelimb, which was now neatly severed at the elbow, clearly chopped off by a single stroke of a blade.
Utter despair.
The dog demon howled to the heavens, trying to cast another controlling spell to rid itself of the formidable enemy before it.
“Fool!” Gaven chuckled condescendingly.
If the dog demon had fought desperately with claw strikes and bites, engaging in close-quarters combat, he might have been wary, but it foolishly tried to cast spells in close battle.
No matter how fast your spell-like abilities are, are they faster than his psychic ability?
Another psychic bullet blasted into the dog demon’s brain.
When the poor creature ca to its senses once more, not only had another of its forelimbs been separated from its body, but there was also a magic longsword stuck in its neck.
The Magic Longsword was positioned with terrible precision, avoiding all vital areas, skimming so closely along the trachea and major arteries that a re downward press could sever them all.
Now the dog demon didn’t dare to move, let alone attempt to cast Flash Spell or use Anywhere Door to teleport, aware that any slight mishap could cost it its life.
Having no other choice, the clever dog demon kept still, knowing that if it didn’t resist, it might survive—if its opponent had wanted to kill it, the Magic Longsword wouldn’t simply be threateningly placed at its throat.
With no other options, the dog demon could now calmly survey the battlefield.
It began with the chaotic fight between the goblin wolf cavalry and the human rchant caravan’s guards, followed by two fireball techniques that cleared the field.
There weren’t many left of the goblin wolf cavalry or the rchant caravan’s guards who could still stand.
One by one, gnoll soldiers descended from the fog above, followed by others with leathery wings, inaugurating the final harvest.
These gnoll soldiers had not fallen haphazardly; it was a well-calculated maneuver.
They all landed on the periphery of the entanglent, imdiately striking with their slings.
The unloaded Erdes, on the forefront, engaged in close combat—partly floating, they were unaffected by the entanglent spell, retreating quickly after any missed strike, giving no opportunity for counterattack.
The remaining goblin wolf cavalry and human rchant caravan guards were being harvested, just a matter of ti—and it wouldn’t take long.
The half-elf who had just inflicted severe wounds on the dog demon now fixed his gaze on Andy not far away.
As Andy tried to distance himself from the half-elf, he simultaneously wailed, “Chief Gaven, spare my life, Chief Gaven spare my life…
I’m innocent…
I was instigated…
it was all a plot by that dog demon…
you know I don’t have the guts…
I don’t have the guts to betray you…
don’t kill …
I’m still of use to you, I’ll work hard, no, no, I’ll make my people work twice as hard, from now on, double the tribute…
I’m willing to be your servant, to follow the leader forever…
there will never be a next ti…
Chief, please give a chance…”
