987: Chapter 595 Lizard Queen_3 987: Chapter 595 Lizard Queen_3 Mickros quickly discovered that his guess was correct.

As the Spirit Soul Naga ventured deeper into Tun Marsh, they encountered a significant number of Lizardfolk.

These Lizardfolk looked almost identical to those Mickros had previously t, except for a substantial difference in body size, with an average height just slightly over two ters.

Even so, their physical strength far exceeded that of ordinary Lizardfolk.

To differentiate them, these Lizardfolk all had their own specific nas.

The ones of relatively average size were called the Blackscaled Lizardfolk.

Those with the stature of giants were known as the Evil Fang Lizardfolk, nad for their enormous, sharp teeth which greatly exceeded those of the Blackscaled Lizardfolk.

They were also mbers of the Evil Fang Guard Corps, specifically responsible for guarding the safety of the Lizard Queen and carrying out her orders.

The Black Dragon proclaid itself the true Lizard Queen, ruling over Tun Marsh with the Blackscaled Lizardfolk as the main population.

Even when other sage races were encountered, they weren’t independent tribes but instead served as slaves to these Blackscaled Lizardman tribes, occupying a very low status and living in extrely miserable conditions.

Clearly, a stringent racial hierarchy was enforced here, although there were rare exceptions like the Spirit Soul Naga.

There were no clear landmarks in Tun Marsh, just low trees, muddy swamps, and tall marsh grass uniformly dominating the landscape.

What was most annoying were the endless swarms of insects.

Despite Mickros being prepared, wearing a Pest Repellent Amulet that shielded him within an invisible barrier with a radius of three ters,

this invisible barrier wasn’t completely impenetrable—it only worked against pests whose Hit Points were less than a third of his Professional Level.

Those whose Hit Points were equal to or greater than a third of his Life Dice, and whose Will was strong enough, could pass through this barrier, but they would suffer 2D6 damage and it would be very painful.

Thus, Mickros essentially beca a walking insect exterminator, the snapping sounds marking his path as the insects trying to pass through the barrier were crushed to death.

However, Mickros remained cautious.

The ones crushed were only ordinary insects; those palm-sized insects had much stronger Life Forces.

Many could withstand the pressure of the invisible barrier, wounded but not killed.

These large insects were conspicuous enough that before they could fully penetrate the barrier, Mickros would kill them with a stab of his sword.

The only relief was that the number of such insects wasn’t overwhelming, otherwise Mickros would have had to retreat.

This made him enviously think of the Lizardfolk, whose innate scale armor was the perfect counter to these pests.

Except for the exceptionally large insects, none could penetrate their scale armor, and it seed these larger insects might have evolved specifically to target such scaled creatures.

Nevertheless, the Lizardfolk who had lived in this region for years had developed specific thods against these insects, each wearing a specialized pouch containing insect repellent.

Upon passing through a Blackscale Lizardman Tribe, the Spirit Soul Naga commanded the Blackscale Lizardfolk to give Mickros a pouch of insect repellent, which freed him from the annoyance of insects.

“I didn’t expect to see a true royal palace here; even Koer’s Purple Dragon Palace pales in comparison to this grand construction,” Mickros couldn’t help but utter a heartfelt exclamation.

This Black Dragon’s obsession and love for the throne ran deep into her bones.

She resided not in the deepest underground lairs typical for Black Dragons, but in a massive palace above ground constructed from the sa obsidian as Dark Castle.

Even though it was transported from the nearby Stormhorn Mountains, it represented an enormous undertaking.

Don’t forget, this area was nearly impassable, marshy land, making one kiloter stretch into two or three with how the Spirit Soul Naga moved about.

A palace constructed with the Giant Dragon in mind was naturally incredibly large and even exceeded the Giant Palace.

This was the most critical point—this place was a swamp where even reinforced human efforts could not prevent the overall foundation from being soft and unstable, causing partial sinking and tilting of the Giant Dragon Palace to a degree discernible to the naked eye.

“Ha ha ha…

has my Lizard Court truly…

huff huff…

already surpassed Koer’s Purple Dragon Palace?

Crack…

crack…

Alhashan, what are you waiting for?

Hurry up and invite my guest inside…

I’d like to hear more about the Purple Dragon Palace…”

A deep, massive voice emanated from the innermost depths of the Giant Dragon Palace amidst various sounds, including unbelievably heavy breathing and chewing noises, as the speaker ate and talked simultaneously.

“As you command, Your Majesty,” the Spirit Soul Naga responded respectfully, sure that the other could hear and perhaps even see him.

Dragons possessed powerful vision and hearing, effortlessly detecting sounds miles away and clearly seeing dium-sized creatures from miles off.

Those who tried to stealthily approach a dragon from behind for a sneak attack were foolish; when they thought they had succeeded, the dragon would often turn around with a face full of mockery.

Crunch!

Crack!

Crunch!

Entering the Giant Dragon Palace, the horrific chewing sounds echoed around Mickros, from the entrance all the way to the depths, all produced by the Evil Fang Lizardfolk with the body type of giants.

Yet now, they were not acting as court guards but as al servers, delivering highly seasoned food consisting of fish, soft-bodied creatures, and other animal carcasses, evidently marinated in putrid water for a period, coated with a wet, sticky substance and emanating a dreadful odor detectable from hundreds of ters away—you could imagine what the sll of hundreds of cans of surströmming being opened at once would be like.

Strikingly, not a single insect or fly was seen around; an omnipresent, terrifying oppressive force made the surrounding one-kiloter area a no-go zone for them.

All this food was delivered right next to the large mouth of that terrifying entity, long fish over two ters rely swallowed without chewing, only taking the ti to chew slightly when faced with larger food like buffalo, the crunching noises marking the crushing and severing of the creatures’ bones.
