...

Mussen led his companions to explore the remaining four corridors one by one.

There were no stone doors blocking the end of the corridors, nor were there any unexpected surprises.

Luo De also stepped into these four corridors consecutively.

The first corridor seed to lead to a training ground.

In this spacious hall stood more than thirty stone-carved targets in the shape of rmaids, equipped with fish spears and shields.

However, each target was badly damaged, suggesting they had suffered nurous hits.

This was the main reason Luo De guessed this area was a training room.

This isn’t important.

What matters is that next to this training room, there’s a warehouse filled with fish spears, all made of Sea Pattern Magic Iron.

Luo De had Gang Le count them, totaling seventy-three.

In addition, there were round shields with patterns resembling turtle shells.

The shields were not made from Sea Pattern Magic Iron, and their dark green texture didn’t appear tallic, yet they were exceptionally tough.

Luo De had a soldier strike them with a sword several tis, but it was ineffective, leaving not a scratch.

Even Gang Le’s axe could only leave a shallow mark on them.

Luo De nad them Turtle Shields.

A heap of such shields filled the adjacent warehouse, and Luo De had Gang Le tally them, totaling a hundred and three.

The specifications and styles of these fish spears and shields were identical to those on the stone targets.

This made Luo De marvel at how truly extravagant these wizards were.

In fact, these targets didn’t need weapons at all, but they were equipped with fish spears here — a blatant waste.

The second room looked like a classroom.

Rows of stone tables and chairs, with a podium at the front of the hall, scattered with various stone slab fragnts.

The shattered stone slabs bore patterns resembling runes, but their fragnted state prevented Luo De from deciphering what they represented.

No valuable items were found elsewhere in this room.

What shocked Luo De the most was the third room.

The center and sides of the square hall were full of stone bookshelves, densely packed with various ancient texts.

Luo De took a lap around them, discovering all of them in the Sea Race’s language.

But this wasn’t important.

What mattered was that unlike the texts found in the entrance room, all these ancient texts were perfectly preserved, with none reduced to ashes!

There were over a thousand ancient texts here, their material similar to the previous four books Luo De had found, remarkably sturdy!

Such a wealth of texts would be enough for Luo De to understand the Sea Race and the wizards!

With such a knowledge library, he wouldn’t need to frequently consult the Dawn Society!

Nevertheless, Luo De didn’t plan to take away these books.

This place was safer than anywhere else.

After all, as long as the entrance stone door was closed, no one could enter without a password.

It was far more secure than the cabinet in the manor.

To learn, one could transcribe them and take them away.

Or, each ti, he could just carry away two or three books, slowly perusing them.

Luo De’s current biggest problem was finding books.

All written in Sea Race language, which made them appear unintelligible at a glance!

Luo De searched the hall, hoping to find sothing akin to a book directory or inventory.

After a lap, he found nothing.

Perhaps soone had taken them away.

Feeling a bit helpless, Luo De could only have soone transcribe the book titles, categorize them by shelf number, then slowly translate them.

And naturally, this task would be handed over to Avril.

As for now, Luo De could only roam the first row of the bookshelf holding his notebook, randomly picking two books to take a look.

Coincidentally, Luo De recognized most of the Sea Race characters on the first book’s cover.

"New Apprentice What Manual?"

Luo De opened the notebook, checked it, and confird this book was titled "New Apprentice Guide Manual."

The first page of the book stated,

"Being able to enter the Sea Abyss Wizard Tower will be your lifelong honor."

"Sea Abyss Wizard Tower, it seems this place is nad that."

Luo De thought to himself.

Flipping through the manual, Luo De spent half a day gaining a basic understanding of the place.

He could only attain a basic understanding since the manual only recorded information on the first floor.

This floor was referred to as the Apprentice District, where apprentices at the Sea Abyss Wizard Tower lived.

The training ground, classroom, apprentice library, and the area Luo De had yet to explore was the apprentice dormitory.

The few rooms Luo De had seen outside earlier were rely the wizard tower’s outer ordinary guard houses.

Guards had no right to set foot into the wizard tower.

No wonder the ancient texts outside were all weathered and destroyed, with only four preserved intact.

All the texts here were perfectly preserved.

Luo De originally mistook the outside for the apprentice living quarters.

Little did he expect the real entry into the wizard tower began here.

As for the next level, it was where the wizard tower’s owner resided and trained. The booklet had no records, except for one sentence,

"Without being summoned, do not approach, or death will be rcy."

The words alone conveyed a chilling sentint to Luo De.

It seed that Mussen was fortunate to be alive.

The rest of the booklet focused on the living arrangents of apprentices, akin to "student code of conduct," but Luo De had no leisure to read those.

Returning the booklet, Luo De decided not to concern himself with the books yet and wait for Avril to finish organizing the inventory before choosing.

First, he would master the Sea Race language; the rest was not urgent.

"I’m exhausted!"

Vivian, with one hand on her hip, complained while entering, "I, a dignified Witch, am doing this arduous labor for you!"

"Here you go!"

Vivian placed six Life Gems directly into Luo De’s hands.

Luo De looked at the gems in his hand, each sharply defined without a trace of stone debris or damage.

Luo De smiled; Vivian, despite her mouth full of complaints, was very ticulous in her work.

"Wow, there are so many books here!"

Vivian casually picked up one, "They all appear to be precious ancient texts!"

"Yes, this is the apprentice library of the wizard tower."

Luo De responded calmly, yet the raised corner of his mouth couldn’t hide the joy in his heart.

"So, do you want to take a couple of books to learn?"

"I can’t learn them!"

Vivian quickly placed the ancient text back in its place, "I don’t recognize any of the words here, so I won’t read them!"

"That’s alright, once you learn the Sea Race language, you’ll understand."

Luo De turned around, "Let’s go, there’s still the apprentice dormitory left to see."

Instructing the guards to prohibit others from entering, Luo De and his two companions walked into the nearby apprentice dormitory.

The dormitory consisted of uniform single rooms, slightly larger than the guards’ quarters outside, exceeding twenty square ters.

There were thirty-two such single rooms, creating a very large space.

Luo De patiently searched the rooms one by one.

The first two rooms yielded nothing, but upon stepping into the third room, he found an ancient text and an Extraordinary Gem on the stone bed.

"Why is it this book again?"

Luo De slightly frowned.

He recognized the ancient text; it was "The Silent Heart."

Curious, Luo De opened the book, suddenly realizing.

This was an apprentice ditation technique, and the proper translation should be, Heart Silence ditation Technique.

No wonder there were two of them here.

Luo De put it away.

The Extraordinary Gem was a purple Spirit Gem, but sadly, it was only the size of a fingernail.

In addition to that, Luo De also discovered a smooth, glossy pearl in the room, about the size of a grapefruit!

"This is so beautiful!"

Vivian’s eyes couldn’t leave the hefty pearl, staring intently at it.

It was the first ti Luo De saw desire in her eyes.

"If this were rely an ornant, I wouldn’t mind giving it to you to play with."

Luo De looked at the pearl, speaking casually, "However, aside from being a decoration, its main function is to test spiritual strength."

Luo De had seen it in the guide manual, this grapefruit-sized pearl was equivalent to the Crystal Ball used by the Dawn Society wizards to test spiritual strength.

With this, Luo De wouldn’t need to trouble Linda and the others anymore.

This allowed Luo De to freely assess the spiritual strength of his territory’s civilians, discreetly cultivating his own extraordinary powers.

"Hmph!"

Vivian turned her head, "It’s useless for to have this thing!"

She was about to exit the room but was pulled back by Luo De.

"Don’t be in such a hurry to leave; try testing your spiritual strength."

Luo De held Vivian’s hand, instructing,

"After placing your hand on it, attempt to communicate with it using your Spiritual Power."
