The beggar breathed a sigh of relief, his shoulders slightly dropped, and casually pushed the dagger away from his neck.

"This code was really hard to rember."

The beggar complained, rubbing his neck, and said, "I am Lie Ta, the person in charge of Shilu Town. Nice to et you."

Vika didn’t exchange pleasantries and coldly asked, "The information I need?"

Lie Ta didn’t hesitate, reached into his pants, pulled out a worn animal hide, and displayed it before Vika.

"All the information is on here."

Vika frowned.

Mountain Cat People’s sense of sll was naturally keen, and Vika was close enough to clearly discern the stench.

Vika still endured it and leaned closer to examine.

The charcoal-drawn lines were dimly visible in the darkness, marking Shilu Town’s layout and details.

Lie Ta pointed at the map and said, "That team consists of six people, five soldiers and one ssenger, all lodging at the tavern in the center."

"They’ve booked three rooms, the first three on the second floor in the back courtyard. You’ll see them once you enter."

"All five soldiers have chain armor, which they take off to wear pajamas when they sleep, but the guard on night duty won’t. Be cautious."

"You even know they wear pajamas to sleep?" Vika asked with slight surprise.

"Heh heh, don’t worry about that."

Lie Ta didn’t elaborate and continued, "The weapons are common one-handed swords and daggers, with two people also carrying bows and arrows."

Lie Ta paused for a mont, "I’ve also planned your escape route, but..."

He hesitated while looking at Vika:

"There are guards at the town gate, the wall is three ters high, and there are fences and ditches around."

"How are you planning to get in... like this?"

Lie Ta suggested, "Or you could wait for a chance to act on the road when they leave the town?"

Vika chuckled coldly, eyes under the cloak glimring faintly.

"A three-ter high wall can’t stop us."

His voice was low, filled with undeniable confidence.

Lie Ta nodded his head, asking no further questions.

"If you are exposed, I’ll create chaos in the town."

He lowered his voice, speaking solemnly, "At that ti, take the opportunity to escape."

Vika nodded slightly and took the map,

"Thank you for your help, Lie Ta."

"It’s my duty."

Lie Ta smiled, "Good luck to you all."

Lie Ta said nothing more.

He slowly retreated, eyes sweeping over the dark-robed figure, and exited the forest.

...

...

Deep into the night.

The night was heavy, with sparse insect chirps whispering in the ears.

The darkness was like a thick curtain enveloping the entire Shilu Town.

The Mountain Cat People road freely in the dark, needing no torches.

Even the faint starlight was enough for them to see trees’ shadows tens of ters away.

Vika walked at the front, stepping lightly and silently.

They arrived quietly at the edge of Shilu Town.

The tribesn followed closely behind, moving just as silently, like phantoms weaving through the night.

The town gate of Shilu Town ca into view, with the guards on the watchtower clearly visible under the torchlight.

As Lie Ta said, a frontal infiltration would surely be detected.

Following the map’s directions, Vika circumvented to an inconspicuous corner.

Here, the stone wall was far higher than three ters, closer to four, covered in thorns.

But lying in the grass, Vika didn’t mind.

He turned back, his gaze sweeping over the tribesn behind him.

"This first mission must not fail."

His voice was low, with a chilling edge,

"We must prove our worth to Lord Rod, only then will we have a secure position."

"Only then, in the future, can we request his help to regain our heritage."

The tribesn nodded firmly, determination in their eyes.

Vika turned back, focused on the stone wall, and waved his hand.

Three Mountain Cat People sprang swiftly from the grass, hands bracing the stone wall, heads lowered.

"Go!"

At Vika’s command, the Mountain Cat People sprinted, feet gliding over the tribesn’s shoulders, claws gripping the stone wall’s crevices, vaulting over the thorns and scaling the wall!

Landing, they rolled nimbly, moving as lightly as a true mountain cat.

Vika wasn’t bluffing; these walls couldn’t stop them at all.

Most residents of Shilu Town had already fallen into deep sleep.

The whole town was silent, only interrupted by occasional dog barks.

Vika crouched in the shadow, his gaze sweeping over the surroundings, comparing the map to find the direction.

Before acting, he had drunk the Guiding Potion, making the map vivid in his mind.

The tavern was on the southern side of the town center, requiring passage through two alleys from here.

Vika gestured to the tribesn.

Several shadows imdiately dispersed, moving along the wall roots in different directions.

Their steps were light, and their boots made no sound on the gravel roads.

Vika led, body pressed against the wall, advancing using the eaves’ shadow.

The air was thick with the sll of urine and feces, which Vika found hard to bear.

This disgusting place couldn’t compare with Frost Leaf Town.

A gust of wind blew past, stirring the fallen twigs at the street corner, making a slight rustling sound.

In the distance, a dog barked lowly twice, and the figure of a militia bearing a torch appeared at the alley entrance.

Vika imdiately halted, pressed against the wall, all the Mountain Cat People swiftly rged into the shadows.

They listened intently until the steps faded, confirming no abnormalities before Vika waved his hand to continue forward.

The tavern’s outline appeared at the end of their vision.

A low wooden house, the roof thatched with worn straw, walls blackened by smoke.

Similar in structure to Frost Leaf Town’s tavern, with a tavern at the front and an inn at the back.

But far less clean and tidy than the tavern in Frost Leaf Town.

Vika pressed against the door, listening carefully.

Even in deep night, the tavern wasn’t bustling anymore, only resonating with loud snores.

Besides this, Vika slled the heavy scent of alcohol mixed with a sour stench.
