After hesitating for a mont, Sharon honestly said, "Not long ago, during the fourth week of late spring."

"It seems your talent is quite good, to beco a senior knight at your age."

Luo De carefully examined Sharon in front of him, with a hint of admiration in his tone.

"At this rate, by the ti you reach sixty, you might beco a top-level knight."

Luo De paused for a mont, then suddenly changed the subject,

"But my guards tell you just lie on that pile of straw every day in a daze, seemingly with no desire to train."

"My aptitude isn’t that good, Lord Luo De."

Sharon lowered his head, a hint of embarrassnt on his face, his voice becoming sowhat somber,

"Baron Lurice used so precious herbs and magic items on to help break through the bottleneck."

"Although these things made a senior knight, they also caused irreversible damage to my body..."

"Sacrificing potential to gain power?"

Luo De inquired further.

"Yes, Lord Luo De, even if I train, there are not much results."

Sharon laughed along: "So you don’t have to worry about posing any threat to you; you can safely send back to the Hawk Clan."

Luo De ignored Sharon’s obviously purposeful words.

He continued to stare into Sharon’s eyes, and suddenly asked,

"Do you want to beco a top-level knight?"

"Everyone wants to, Lord Luo De, but the problem is I don’t have that kind of talent..."

Sharon’s words were cut short by Luo De,

"I’m asking you, do you want to?"

Luo De’s expression was serious, his tone even more solemn.

Sharon heard the persistent questioning and realized sothing seed off about the situation.

He instinctively nodded, "I do, sir."

"I certainly want to be a top-level knight."

"Good."

Luo De continued to observe and asked Sharon, "Then tell , what are you willing to exchange for this opportunity?"

...

...

Black Pine Ridge, Eastern Coast.

Under the sea, the deep blue water, illuminated by sunlight, presented a dreamlike play of light and shadows.

Shan Fen strolled leisurely under the sea, skillfully searching through the sand with her hands.

"Dig here, horseshoe clams."

Shan Fen happily tossed her finds into the net bag, making it the thirty-sixth horseshoe clam of the day, each one larger than her palm.

The beautiful day had just begun, and Shan Fen felt she could gather even more today.

As a Seal Person, Shan Fen loved this peaceful and stable life.

No need to worry about food, no need to fear attacks, every day only required collecting familiar sea goods in the ocean.

Shan Fen scooped out the seafood hidden in the nearby sand and then swayed as she swam toward the reefs ahead, bending down to inspect the crevices.

"I’m coming, big claw shrimp."

Shan Fen took out her pincers and precisely caught the big claw shrimp,

"Hmph, I can’t beat giant claw shrimps, but can’t I beat you?"

Shan Fen deftly slipped the big claw shrimp into her net bag.

The net bag was now bulging with bounty.

"A few more seashells and crabs, and I can head back to exchange my net bag; today’s haul is truly bountiful."

Wearing a satisfied smile, Shan Fen looked towards the reef area ahead and swam vigorously toward it.

Just then, the surrounding seawater suddenly turned eerily calm.

The small fish that once swam among the coral disappeared in an instant, and the crabs hiding in the sand scuttled out, quickly burrowing into the cracks of the reefs.

Shan Fen noticed the change, slowly swimming backward, warily scanning the surrounding sea.

Among the Seal People, countless terrifying tales of the ocean were passed down.

The most common, and most frightening, were the dreadful creatures of the sea.

As Shan Fen pondered, a massive shadow, as large as a hill, slowly rose from the seabed ahead.

Shan Fen’s heart pounded with fear; not daring to look further, she swiftly swam toward the shore behind her.

Shortly after, Shan Fen’s figure erged on the surface of the sea.

Hai Er, who was strolling along the shore, saw her and called out with a smile, "Back early today, it seems you’ve had a good haul!"

Shan Fen did not respond, instead running rapidly up the shore.

Hai Er sensed sothing was wrong and quickly caught up,

"What’s the matter, Shan Fen?"

"Sea Monster!"

Shan Fen reported breathlessly, "In the deep sea area ahead, there’s a giant octopus sea monster!"
