The Poisonous Miasma Swamp was a notorious and perilous forbidden zone in Mozhou. According to legend, it was an ancient battlefield where over a hundred thousand soldiers had perished. With no one to bury their remains, a miasma born from death and decay gradually ford over the long years.
However, such a place was a rare cultivation sanctuary for martial artists who practiced Poison Skills and Demonic Techniques. This was why the Heavenly Demon Cult had established its mountain gates here.
Su Han’s consciousness withdrew from the Prison Divine Palace. He halted the Thunder Light Treasure Ship and gazed forward into an endless expanse of swamp and mud. The ground was soft and sticky, enveloped in a thick blanket of miasma and poison gas so dense that not even sunlight could penetrate it. Although so plants and demonic beasts existed within the Poisonous Miasma Swamp, they too were predominantly poisonous.
This harsh environnt was unbearable for most martial artists. If they stayed too long, they would succumb to the poison and die. It served as a natural barrier for the Heavenly Demon Cult, but for Su Han, who was immune to all such evils, it had no effect whatsoever.
To drive back the Heavenly Demon Cult’s experts, I must create a huge commotion. Beneath this Poisonous Miasma Swamp lies an Interdiate Grade Spirit Vein, and the Heavenly Demon Cult surely has its own treasure vault. I must destroy both of these locations.
Su Han’s gaze flickered, his targets already chosen. Both the Interdiate Grade Spirit Vein and the Demon Cult’s treasury were the very foundation of the Heavenly Demon Cult. Once they were damaged, it would be unbearable for Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign and the others.
However, neither location was easily accessible, especially for Su Han, a disciple of the Seven Stars Sect. Rushing in rashly would be a death sentence. Although the Heavenly Demon Cult’s main army and countless experts had marched on the Seven Stars Sect, Su Han was certain that powerful guardians remained behind to watch over the lair, possibly even experts of the Supre Realm. Thus, Su Han had to be extrely cautious.
First, I’ll find a disciple of the Heavenly Demon Cult, take on his appearance, and use it to get inside.
Although Su Han possessed a map of Mozhou, he was completely in the dark about the Heavenly Demon Cult’s internal layout. He had no idea where the entrance to the Spirit Vein or the location of the treasure vault was, so infiltrating the cult was essential.
With this in mind, Su Han stowed the Thunder Light Treasure Ship. He then took out the Heaven-Deceiving Demon Bead to conceal his presence and suppress his aura before entering the Poisonous Miasma Swamp.
The poisonous miasma within the swamp was exceedingly dense. A faint golden light emanated from Su Han’s skin, warding off the noxious air as he moved swiftly toward the gates of the Heavenly Demon Cult.
Soon, he saw a cluster of buildings deep within the Poisonous Miasma Swamp.
These were the mountain gates of the Heavenly Demon Cult, located where the miasma was most concentrated. Any ordinary martial artist who ca here would likely be poisoned to death instantly. It was a terrifying place.
Just as the Seven Stars Sect had its Big Dipper Formation, the Heavenly Demon Cult had its own Sect Protection Great Formation. Su Han activated his Nine Heavens Eye, observing carefully, and soon identified the Great Formation’s origin.
The Five Poisons Ghost-Eating Formation. It’s a Superior Grade Dao Formation, but this Poisonous Miasma Swamp has amplified its power to the level of a Supre Grade Dao Formation.
With his profound Formation Mastery, Su Han recognized the Sect Protection Great Formation’s origins and extraordinary nature at a glance. To wreak havoc in the Heavenly Demon Cult’s lair, he had to understand the Five Poisons Ghost-Eating Formation first. Su Han knew that despite his many abilities, his cultivation was only at the Sixth Layer of the Phenonon Realm. To destroy the Heavenly Demon Cult’s headquarters, he would need to use external forces—and the greatest external force available was this very formation!
Suddenly, Su Han’s expression flickered as he looked toward the mountain gates. A disciple of the Heavenly Demon Cult was walking out and heading into the Poisonous Miasma Swamp.
It was the perfect opportunity. A flicker of joy appeared in Su Han’s heart, and he quickly followed.
The disciple was a young man of about twenty with a birthmark under the corner of his eye. His strength was considerable; he was already at the Third Layer of the Phenonon Realm.
"This ti, I must catch the Nine-Segnted Centipede!"
The young man took a finger-length stick of sandalwood from his Storage Ring, quickly lit it, and inserted it into the muddy ground. He then concealed his presence and waited for his prey to take the bait.
Before long, a ter-long, dark-red centipede slowly crawled out from the swamp. The creature had a nine-segnted body and potent venom; its strength was comparable to the Heavenly Human Realm. The nine-segnted centipede crawled quickly toward the sandalwood, seemingly drawn by a fatal attraction to its fragrance.
WHOOSH!
Just as the centipede neared the sandalwood, the young man finally moved. He struck swiftly, using a Poison Skill, and seized the creature with the mastery of one capturing a dragon or controlling a crane. He then quickly produced a jar, stuffed the nine-segnted centipede inside, and sealed it completely.
Having finished, the young man let out a sigh of relief, a smug smile spreading across his face.
With this Nine-Segnted Centipede, I’ll be able to break through to the Fourth Layer of the Phenonon Realm. Once the Sect Leader and the elders breach the Seven Stars Sect, we can storm into Qingzhou and fight for our fortunes. An opportunity like this is too rare to miss; I must seize it.
The Heavenly Demon Cult’s main force this ti consisted mostly of experts at the Physique Realm and above. As for the disciples below that level, they were all preparing for battle, waiting for the Seven Stars Sect to fall so they could enter Qingzhou and plunder the spoils. This was precisely what the young man had in mind.
"Ti to head back!"
With the Nine-Segnted Centipede secured, the young man prepared to return to the sect for secluded cultivation. After all, most disciples were working hard to increase their strength, eagerly getting ready to pillage Qingzhou.
At that very mont, a figure appeared, charging straight for him.
"Who are you?" the young man shouted, alarm bells ringing in his mind. Poisonous energy surged around him as he raised his right hand, which beca engulfed in dense toxins, forming a venomous palm strike intended to force Su Han back.
"The one who will kill you!" Su Han snorted coldly. His Black Blade flashed like lightning, tearing through the air and slicing directly at the young man.
The young man’s venomous palm was no match for the Black Blade’s sharpness. His hand was severed, and his body was instantly split in two. He fell into the swamp, his face a mask of terror and resentnt. He was a core disciple of the Heavenly Demon Cult, on the verge of plundering Qingzhou and destined for a future as a powerful figure. Instead, he had t such a bewildering end. He found it impossible to accept, and a furious hatred threatened to drive him mad.
Unfortunately for him, his resentnt and fury could only be vented in Hell. His death was swift and certain.
Su Han reached out, and the young man’s Storage Ring flew into his hand. It was filled with treasures, including the freshly caught Nine-Segnted Centipede.
Su Han swiftly employed Thousand Changes and Transformations, the Divine thod he had just acquired. With a flicker, his body morphed into the likeness of the dead disciple. It was not just his appearance; his voice, aura, gaze, and tone were all identical, as if he were the real thing. After all, this was a Divine thod, far beyond what mortals could imagine.
I’ll borrow your identity to deliver a grand gift to the Heavenly Demon Cult!
Su Han waved his hand, and the Samadhi True Fla descended upon the young man’s corpse, annihilating every last trace.
Then, Su Han swaggered straight toward the gates of the Heavenly Demon Cult.
With Thousand Changes and Transformations, who can possibly tell the real from the fake?
