Tongyan's pupils constricted, Zhang Xiaowan's mouth gaped open, and Lan Xi's eyes filled with shock.
The Heavenly Dao possessed a will. It would descend a Heavenly Tribulation upon those it perceived as threats—a divine punishnt reserved for beings who defied the heavens. Above them, the dark clouds were thick, and roaring Thunder Light heralded a destructive force that instinctively filled them with dread. "Is this Heavenly Tribulation because of little Su Su?" Zhang Xiaowan stared at Su Han in disbelief. She knew he had obtained a mass of Dao essence and was guaranteed to enter the Enlightennt State. Now, all three of them had awoken, while only Su Han remained deep in his ditative trance. Besides, other than the Dragon Qi Demon Beasts, they were the only ones on Enlightennt Cliff. It was clear there were no other Tribulation Transcenders around.
"What in the world did he comprehend to trigger a Heavenly Tribulation? This is too terrifying!" Lan Xi exclaid, her gaze toward Su Han full of awe.
Though enlightened individuals throughout history were few, they were not completely unheard of. However, there had never been a case of enlightennt triggering a Heavenly Tribulation. This was unprecedented. Clearly, Su Han's current state of enlightennt was extraordinary, so much so that the Heavenly Dao felt threatened. Zhang Xiaowan and Lan Xi turned pale with fright. Tongyan reacted instantly, activating her Physique Fusion and unleashing her Life and Death Reincarnation in an attempt to block the strike. However, at that mont, a bolt of Thunder Light descended from the sky, hitting Tongyan with pinpoint accuracy. The blast left the front of her body scorched black, injuring her delicate fra and bringing her to the brink of collapse.
"Retreat!" Tongyan's face fell. She quickly pulled Zhang Xiaowan and Lan Xi back to the edge of the cliff. This Heavenly Tribulation was too strong; they couldn't possibly withstand it.
"What about little Su Su?" The pillar of thunder was completely unaffected, continuing its straight descent. Zhang Xiaowan's pretty face turned deathly pale with worry.
The next mont, the pillar of thunder fell, engulfing Su Han's figure.
However, he was not annihilated as expected. Instead, tiny vortexes appeared on the surface of Su Han's body. Like countless gaping maws, they tore at the pillar of thunder, devouring it. Ultimately, under the shocked gazes of Tongyan and the others, the entire pillar of thunder was devoured completely, leaving nothing behind.

"Tribulation Transcenders must face their trial alone! No one can help. If we interfere, not only will we be attacked, but his tribulation won't be weakened at all. We have to leave Enlightennt Cliff, now!" Tongyan said urgently, leading Zhang Xiaowan and Lan Xi away.
The Heavenly Tribulation's appearance had been too sudden, leaving them completely unprepared. Tongyan's recent attempt had already proven the legends true. Staying here would not only fail to help Su Han but would also put them all in grave danger. As for the Heavenly Tribulation, Su Han would have to rely on himself!

Su Han had once used Heavenly Thunder Liquid for Body Refining, so he had a strong resistance to lightning. Moreover, his Sacred Body was nearing Great Accomplishnt. By now, the small vortexes on his body had disappeared. His skin shone with a dazzling lightning glow, clear and translucent, as if crafted from crystal. Within his body, his flesh, organs, ridians, bones, and even his dantian and sea of consciousness were being tempered by the thunderbolts, becoming tougher and more powerful.
The Way of the Universe could accommodate all things; re thunderbolts were naturally included. At this mont, Su Han had reached a new understanding of his Way of the Universe, using his own body as a vessel that could devour and contain everything.
A furious roar emanated from the dark clouds, and then the ninth bolt of the Heavenly Tribulation appeared. It was the last and most powerful one.

The Demonic Emperor Physique tilted its head up slightly, glancing at the Leviathan. Then, one of the black holes surrounding it shot out, rapidly expanding into a thirty-ter-wide Dual Black Hole.
