The public chatter had no effect on Su Han. He would only live for himself, not by the words of others.

Tongyan reprimanded Zhang Xiaowan with a stern expression. While the Soul Destroying lody was powerful, the damage it caused was imnse. Slicing off a piece of one's soul was no small matter, nor was it sothing ordinary treasures could repair. It would require a soul-type Immortality dicine, but Immortality dicines themselves were exceedingly rare, let alone one that could heal a soul.
"Sister Tongyan, I only did it because I saw the Sword-Tooth Shark's soul about to escape," Zhang Xiaowan explained carefully, full of respect for the woman she had always treated as her own sister. "He is a Heavenly King Realm powerhouse of the Shark Tribe. If he had escaped, we all would have been in danger."

"Xiaowan, Lan Xi," Tongyan continued, "neither of you achieved Enlightennt this ti. However, you have solid foundations, and with enough Cultivation Resources, you can break through. Su Han and I discussed it and decided to give you eighty percent of the spoils from this battle. For now, you should stay here in seclusion to cultivate. We will stand guard for you."
This was the result of her discussion with Su Han. Of course, the proposal had been his idea, including the eighty percent share of the spoils.
Zhang Xiaowan and Lan Xi had helped him a great deal but hadn't gained any opportunities of their own, which made Su Han feel uneasy. He had already reached the Divine Power Realm Ninth Layer, and this amount of spoils was definitely not enough for him to break through to the Heavenly King Realm. That being the case, he preferred to let them increase their strength and self-preservation abilities.
"Brother-in-law, you're too generous!" Zhang Xiaowan exclaid, a slip of the tongue in her excitent.
Tongyan's expression remained neutral, but Su Han felt a headache coming on. Zhang Xiaowan's loose tongue was both amusing and exasperating.
Although the Demon Race rarely used weapons, that didn't an they lacked storage devices. They still had treasures like Elixirs, Spiritual dicines, and Spirit Stones.
This ti, Su Han had first slain Jing Shan, Kui Mu, and Tiger Shark on Enlightennt Cliff, then killed Jing Chuan, Lan Mu, and the Sword-Tooth Shark outside. All six were prodigies of the Imperial Clan who possessed nurous treasures, not to ntion the spoils collected from the other Demon Race prodigies.
In the end, Su Han handed a Storage Ring to both Zhang Xiaowan and Lan Xi. The treasures inside astonished even them, successors of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion.
"This is too valuable! I can't accept it!" Lan Xi waved her hands repeatedly. After all, she hadn't been much help, and her relationship with Tongyan and Su Han wasn't as close as Zhang Xiaowan's.
"Take it. We're companions now," Su Han said with a faint smile, firmly pressing the Storage Ring into her hand.
Su Han was decisive and ruthless toward his enemies, but generous and magnanimous toward his own people.
Eventually, persuaded by Zhang Xiaowan and Tongyan, Lan Xi had no choice but to accept the Storage Ring, the affection in her heart for Su Han growing even stronger.

Su Han offered all the corpses he had obtained to the Great Majestic Demon King, allowing him to absorb them, refine them, and grow stronger.
One by one, bodies flew out of the Bronze Ring, only to be pierced and refined by the Black Blade.
When the last corpse had been reduced to ash, a second Demonic Pattern appeared on the Black Blade.
The first Demonic Pattern was the Bloodthirsty Demonic Fla, which specialized in incinerating flesh and blood, bringing instant death upon contact.
Now, this second Demonic Pattern shimred with black ripples. A black mist rose from it, thick with malevolent Demonic Intent.
"This is the Soul Devouring Demon Mist. It can erode the sea of consciousness and devour the spirit!" the Great Majestic Demon King's voice explained.
The Black Blade's original abilities, Bloodthirsty and Soul Devouring, were now fully manifested. With the Bloodthirsty Demonic Fla and the Soul Devouring Demon Mist, the blade's power was even more terrifying.
The entire Black Blade now shimred with a profound demonic light. Its Grade had leaped from a Low Grade Dao Artifact all the way to a Supre Grade Dao Artifact, just one step below a Holy Artifact.
"This flesh and blood is good, but it's not enough," the Great Majestic Demon King spoke again. "If you can find the corpses of ten in the Heavenly Venerate Realm, or one hundred from the Heavenly King Realm, I can break the First Layer of my seal. This blade will then reach the Grade of a Holy Artifact!"
His words gave Su Han a massive headache. Ten Heavenly Venerate Realm cultivators or one hundred Heavenly King Realm cultivators—the conditions were simply too difficult.
Still, the Black Blade's upgrade in Grade and the new Soul Devouring Demon Mist ability were a considerable gain.
