"You little wretch, go to hell!" the empress snarled, her gaze frigid and her killing intent palpable.
This strike was imnsely powerful, and Su Han no longer had the Storm Formation to shield him. However, he was not entirely defenseless. Though Earth Rank Martial Techniques were strong, they were not invincible.
"Dragon Phoenix Protection!"
Su Han activated his Sacred Body, his golden Qi-Blood surging. Instantly, phantoms of a True Dragon and a True Phoenix coiled around him, forming the Dragon Phoenix Protection, a technique with incredible defensive power. He then used his Origin Technique, Transmute, again. At his command, the rainwater on the ground turned to gold, surging up to coat his defense. Water and fire are naturally opposing forces, and combined with the iron-like hardness granted by Transmute, the protection’s ability to resist the sea of fire beca even more effective.
The mont Su Han finished, the five-hundred-ter sea of fire crashed down.

Rolling heatwaves swept out, scorching the ground black. The unattended corpses instantly caught fire, blazing fiercely before turning to ash. The blazing flas and surging heat swept across the area like a typhoon.
The Imperial Guards who had not retreated far enough were instantly enveloped. A chorus of screams erupted as countless soldiers writhed in agony within the inferno. Eventually, their cries faded, and they collapsed, dead.
The power of an Earth Rank Martial Technique was terrifying, and its destructive force was dreadful. It cleared a thousand-ter radius of any other people, leaving only Su Han and the empress at the center of the devastation.
"You little wretch, let’s see if you survive this ti!" The empress’s face was pale. Using an Earth Rank Martial Technique had taken a great toll on her, but she felt it was worth it. She believed that after this strike, Su Han would either be dead or severely injured, ensuring her victory.

Just then, a flash of black light erupted from the sea of fire like a bolt of lightning. In the next mont, it sliced through the flas, and a figure shot out. It was Su Han.
He looked pathetic. Although his Dragon Phoenix Protection and Transmute were powerful, he had been facing an Earth Rank Martial Technique. In the end, both of his Origin Techniques had been shattered. He was scorched by the flas, his body blackened, looking like an Evil Demon clawing its way out of Hell. But he possessed a Sacred Body, and his Qi-Blood was vigorous. Though injured, he hadn’t lost his fighting spirit and still retained fifty percent of his Combat Power.
"Heaven and Earth Slash!"
Bursting from the sea of fire, Su Han didn’t hesitate. He used the Character Technique of Motion to rush before the empress, gripping the Black Blade and bringing it down with all his might. This slash drew upon all the remaining Demonic Qi in his body. Demonic Qi surged over the Black Blade, which burst with a cold, sharp light. Before this attack, heaven and earth themselves seed as flimsy as paper, about to be cleaved in two.
Su Han attacked with lethal conviction. The intense sense of crisis made the empress’s pupils constrict and her breath catch in her throat; this strike made her feel the threat of death.
"Demonic Soul!"
In that split second, the empress swiftly activated the Bone Whip in her hand, awakening the dormant demonic soul of the Crimson Fla Demon Serpent sealed within. It had been deliberately sealed into the Bone Whip during its forging, allowing the demonic soul to be awakened at a critical mont for its incredible might.

Its body flowed with crimson flas, and its imnse, thousand-ter-long form radiated an intense pressure. This demonic soul had been refined from a living creature, filling it with ferocity and rage. It now directed all these emotions at Su Han, as if he were its killer. The demonic soul, wielding the Bone Whip, struck at Su Han like a venomous snake lunging for its prey.
When the Black Blade and Bone Whip collided again, the world seed to fall silent for an instant. Then, a furious shockwave of energy exploded outward. The ground beneath their feet cracked, revealing enormous, terrifying fissures. The area where they stood was left in complete disarray. But at this mont, their attention was focused solely on the clash that would decide the outco of the battle.
CRACK!
A faint cracking sound was heard as a fine fissure appeared on the Bone Whip in the empress’s hand.
"How is this possible?"
The empress’s pupils constricted, her heart trembling in shock. The Bone Whip is a Supre Grade Magic Artifact, and I even awakened the demonic soul within it! That’s a thod second only to my Earth Rank Martial Technique. To think it couldn’t withstand the Black Blade and was cracked... this is simply inconceivable!
"Nothing’s impossible!" From behind the Black Blade ca Su Han’s low, cold voice.
For this strike, in addition to all the Demonic Qi in his body, he had also activated the fresh blood and souls the Black Blade had previously absorbed, greatly amplifying its power. With the Bone Whip shattered, the Black Blade’s montum didn’t lessen as it continued its path toward the empress. Her expression changed dramatically, but it was too late to dodge. She could only desperately activate her Inner Armor for protection. This Inner Armor was no ordinary item and possessed imnse defensive power, but Su Han’s slash was stronger still. The armor was swiftly cleaved open by the sharp edge of the Black Blade. Ultimately, the blade struck the empress’s body rcilessly.
SPURT!
Blood sprayed through the air. A scream rent the sky as a severed, blood-stained arm flew high. The empress’s left arm had been severed at the shoulder. Blood gushed from the wound, a grievous injury. In that crucial mont, a burst of survival instinct had allowed her to avoid a fatal blow, but it cost her an arm.
"AAAAGH! You little wretch, I will kill you!"
With her left arm severed, the empress completely lost her composure. Her phoenix eyes turned blood-red as if she were about to devour soone. She steeled her heart and decided to use her strongest trump card.
