Now reading: Chapter 81: Kid, You’re Dead Meat from Fate-Defying Demon Emperor, a Eastern novel by Awakening from a Dream with Tears of Sorrow.

A refined middle-aged man appeared instantly in the courtyard, his Heavenly King Realm aura so oppressive that Su Han and Qian Xing were rendered immobile.

"Pavilion Master Sun!" Upon seeing this man, Lu Yunxian’s expression subtly changed, and she quickly paid her respects.

The visitor was Sun Buzhou, the Pavilion Master of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion’s Qian Yuan City branch. Due to the city’s unique geographical location, the Pavilion had stationed a Heavenly King Realm expert here to oversee things. He had instantly sensed the significant fluctuations from Su Han and Qian Xing’s battle and arrived at once.

"Third Prince? Why are you here?" Sun Buzhou’s gaze swept over Su Han before frowning slightly as he looked at Qian Xing. This was the inner courtyard of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion, a place not to be entered by outsiders without permission; even the Third Prince of the Great Qian Dynasty was no exception.

However, he was extrely astute. A single glance at Lu Yunxian was enough for him to guess the cause of the incident. After all, Lu Yunxian’s fa was known throughout the city, and Qian Xing had long been interested in her. This ti, however, he had been far too presumptuous, daring to force his way into the inner courtyard of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion.

"It is a gentleman’s nature to pursue a fair lady, Pavilion Master Sun. I had no intention of offending you; I was rely overwheld by my admiration. I hope you can forgive my actions!" Even though Qian Xing was the Third Prince of the Great Qian Dynasty, he didn’t dare act arrogantly in front of Sun Buzhou. After all, the Myriad Treasures Pavilion was one of the top powers in the Eastern Region, far beyond what the Great Qian Dynasty could ever compare to.

"However, this man barged in recklessly and even tried to kill . I hope Pavilion Master Sun can investigate this matter thoroughly and see that justice is done." Sun Buzhou’s appearance made Qian Xing realize he could not make another move, but his resentnt towards Su Han remained unabated. Now, he sought to use another’s hand to eliminate his enemy.

Faced with Sun Buzhou’s questioning gaze, Su Han wasted no words and simply took out a red jade pendant.

Upon seeing the ’Tong’ insignia on the jade pendant, Sun Buzhou’s pupils constricted. He instantly recognized Su Han’s identity.

"Third Prince, this is a distinguished guest of our Myriad Treasures Pavilion. As for your personal grievances, you may resolve them on your own. However, I must ask you to refrain from fighting within the Myriad Treasures Pavilion," Sun Buzhou stated, his stern voice brooking no argunt. Fighting was forbidden within the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. This was an ironclad rule, and anyone who dared to break it was challenging the Pavilion’s authority.

Sun Buzhou’s response surprised Qian Xing. He hadn’t expected that Su Han could make the Pavilion Master back down. It seed this man wasn’t so spineless after all. Still, you’ve offended . Even if you’re a mighty dragon crossing the river, you will cower before here.

"If that is the case, then I will take my leave!" Qian Xing offered a respectful salute with his fist in his palm, then looked toward Su Han. "Kid, you’re dead!"

With those words, Qian Xing gave Su Han no chance to reply and turned to leave imdiately. With his status, discovering Su Han’s identity would be simple. Now that Su Han had offended him, he would certainly beco a target.

Yet, Su Han remained indifferent to Qian Xing’s threats. If Qian Xing intended to target him, he had no plans to let Qian Xing off either. Anyone who wrongs my Fairy Sister Yun Xian must pay the price!

"Su Han, Miss Tongyan has already told about you. Now that you’re here, I consider Lu Yunxian returned to you unhard. You may take her with you at any ti," Sun Buzhou said, his eyes neither pleased nor displeased.

"Pavilion Master Sun, the Seven Stars Sect’s entry-level assessnt is about to begin. Could Fairy Sister Yun Xian stay here until the day of the assessnt?" Su Han himself didn’t care about being targeted by Qian Xing, but it was safer for Lu Yunxian to remain here. Who knew what kind of depraved revenge thods Qian Xing might use?

This was a minor matter, so Sun Buzhou agreed with a nod.

"I also have so business I’d like to conduct with your esteed pavilion," Su Han spoke up again. He had looted the Qin Family’s treasury and acquired the Storage Rings of Qin Xiong, the Empress, and others. While he had consud all the Elixirs and Spiritual dicines, the other treasures remained. The weapons, Spirit Talismans, and Martial Arts Technique Scrolls were of no use to him. With the Seven Stars Sect’s entry-level assessnt imminent and the looming threat from Qian Xing, he wanted to sell all these items and exchange them for the Spirit Gold and Elixirs he needed.

Soon, Su Han had sold all his treasures and purchased the Cultivation Resources he needed from Sun Buzhou.

"You’re on your own now." Having concluded their business, Sun Buzhou didn’t linger. He gave Su Han a deep look before turning to leave.

Only Su Han and Lu Yunxian remained in the courtyard, their gazes eting and growing warm and gentle.

"Little Han, tell what happened after," Lu Yunxian said, leading Su Han into the room, eager to learn what he had experienced.

Su Han didn’t hide anything, though he recounted a simplified version of events, glossing over the harsher details. Even so, from his simple words, Lu Yunxian could sense the underlying hardship he had faced.

Her gaze upon Su Han was filled with heartache, and her resolve to grow stronger intensified. Only by becoming stronger can I protect Little Han. Even if I only have one year left to live, I must do my best to protect him.

After a long conversation with Fairy Sister Yun Xian, Su Han left the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. Their bond had long surpassed the need for words, and they did not require constant companionship.

Su Han didn’t stay the night at the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. He had just obtained new Cultivation Resources and was eager to convert them into tangible strength as quickly as possible.

Back at the inn, Ning Feifan had already returned, his expression urgent as soon as he saw Su Han. "This is bad! The Third Prince has declared that he’s going to publicly execute you during the entry-level assessnt!"

The exposure of his identity didn’t surprise Su Han. Given Qian Xing’s status, it was only natural that he could uncover it. Besides, at this point, Su Han no longer had any reason to hide. As for Qian Xing’s threat, Su Han felt no fear. Instead, his killing intent surged.

"It seems you’ve known who I was all along," Su Han said, looking at Ning Feifan and noticing the slip in his words. After all, the Third Prince’s declaration was aid at Su Han, but Ning Feifan had only ever known him as Lu Han.

Realizing he had misspoken, Ning Feifan chuckled awkwardly. "Big Brother Su, with your striking appearance, it’s hard for people not to figure it out!"

Ning Feifan was thick-skinned and, despite being found out, remained enthusiastic.

"Aren’t you afraid of being caught in the crossfire?" Su Han asked, looking at Ning Feifan with interest.

"Afraid? Of course. I’m scared to death," Ning Feifan admitted. "But fortune favors the bold. I believe you’re destined to soar to great heights, so just give a little boost when you do."

Ning Feifan wasn’t just thick-skinned; he was also clingy. Despite his hint of self-interest, he was frank and harbored no malice towards Su Han. Otherwise, he could have reported Su Han to the Third Prince for a substantial reward.

However, having been deeply hurt before, Su Han didn’t easily open his heart to others. When it ca to Ning Feifan, Su Han neither embraced nor rejected him.

Su Han inford Ning Feifan, "I’ll be in seclusion for the next two days. Call for on the day of the assessnt," then returned to his room.

Everything else is an illusion; only the power held in my own hands is real. Qian Xing, the day of the assessnt will be the day you die!
