Yet they knew well that against Servants possessing superior Magic Resistance, the lethality of Magecraft was drastically reduced.
Thus, this rely temporarily delayed Saber and her two companions.

Having just escaped from the frozen Grand Magecraft, the Twin Sabers saw the incoming magic cannon bearing down on them.
