The attack was similar in nature to the gravitational field the 'Alien God' used in combat, though its scale and power were slightly different.
After their first clash, Morgan had already analyzed most of its underlying principles. However, because the Unity God form had still been incomplete, she had been unable to use it properly.
But after the recent upheaval, with authority being lost and transferred, Morgan had gradually begun to gain control over the phenonon.
So this was the opening strike she chose.
Beyond its tactical purpose, it also carried a trace of personal emotion, a response to the 'Alien God's repeated provocations against them.
The mountain peak collapsed with a thunderous crash. Obsidian peeled away in all directions, and amid the ring of jagged black stone stood the 'Alien God', U-Olga Marie, alone at the center.
The attack had struck the mountain itself, but the gravitational field surrounding the 'Alien God' neutralized the force, preventing it from reaching her directly.
"..."
Only now seeming to notice the arrival of the Unity God Morgan, U-Olga Marie showed a puzzled expression.
"Stand up, 'Alien God'," Morgan said. "We've co to reclaim the authority you stole."
"Authority?" U-Olga Marie looked confused.
Morgan had assud the authority had been taken by soone else and that the 'Alien God' was rely guarding the place. Yet from what she could sense, the authority was indeed still inside U-Olga Marie.
"Don't tell you've already forgotten stealing sothing that belongs to soone else."
Seeing the usually arrogant 'Alien God' suddenly look so lost stirred a naless irritation in Morgan.
She no longer bothered to keep her distance and descended directly near her. The jagged formations surrounding the 'Alien God', like a fence of spikes, crumbled into dust as Morgan landed.
An ice-blue longsword ford in Morgan's hand.
She pointed it straight at U-Olga Marie. The blade hovered only inches from her throat.
"Stole… whose authority?" U-Olga Marie murmured in confusion.
Then suddenly she clutched her head and scread in agony.
"Ugh… ahhh… AAAAHHH!!! What… is this…"
The surrounding gravitational field spiraled out of control again. The razor-sharp obsidian shattered instantly. If Morgan had not been in the Unity God state, she would not have escaped unscathed.
After weathering another surge of chaotic gravity, Morgan frowned.
"I see. The anomaly in the Second Netherworld is the result of the 'Alien God's' power running out of control. Could it be that she has already devoured my husband's authority?"
"That doesn't seem likely," Shiomi said. "If it had been devoured, I would feel it. Just like I can feel my wife's authority now. The 'Alien God' is acting strangely."
U-Olga Marie writhed in pain for quite so ti before finally letting her arms fall weakly and collapsing to her knees.
She raised her head blankly and looked at the Unity God Morgan before her.
"...Who are you?"
"You've even forgotten your own enemy?" Morgan said, unable to believe it.
But her eyes told her that U-Olga Marie was not lying.
Shiomi reached the sa conclusion.
"This is strange. Let's separate for now," Shiomi said.
"If she loses control again, I'll forcibly rge with you," Morgan replied, knowing Shiomi wanted to confirm the situation personally.
She offered it as a precaution.
"Very well. I'll leave everything to my wife."
With that, Shiomi and Morgan released the fusion.
U-Olga Marie noticed that two people were suddenly standing before her. She lifted her head and stared at them.
Her gaze first fell on Morgan, then slowly shifted to Shiomi, who was currently in a childlike form.
"You are…"
It was as if electricity had shot through her brain.
U-Olga Marie grabbed her head and let out a piercing scream.
The surrounding gravity beca unstable again. Morgan placed a hand on Shiomi's shoulder, ready to rge again to deal with the coming rampage.
But Shiomi raised a hand to stop her.
"Wait a mont."
"No… no… no… no no no no no…"
U-Olga Marie hugged herself tightly, muttering over and over as if trying to hypnotize herself.
She clutched her face. Her eyes bulged as if they might pop out of their sockets, her pupils trembling violently.
Inside them flickered a kind of terror Shiomi had never seen before.
For the first ti, he saw fear on the face of the 'Alien God'.
Then, as the pain seed to ease slightly, U-Olga Marie lifted her head and looked at Shiomi.
Countless unfamiliar mories flooded into her mind, violently stimulating her consciousness.
"After all, you're even younger than Caren. If you were my child, you'd definitely be the youngest in the family. Everyone would spoil you."
"If you ever have ti, you can co eat with us."
"It'll be fine… Teacher will protect you. You won't die. I won't die. Everyone… everyone will survive."
"...Who exactly are you?" U-Olga Marie stared at Shiomi in confusion.
"Ugh… AAAAHHHHH!!!"
...
The surge of magical power this ti was even more violent.
U-Olga Marie was surrounded by an overwhelming mass of magic that threatened to burst outward at any mont.
If it truly lost control, it would cause a massive explosion in the Second Netherworld, sending obsidian debris flows rushing across both sides of the Netherworld.
But in the end, the magical power did not explode.
Instead, it slowly withdrew back into her body.
Even so, U-Olga Marie still looked terribly pained.
"Hey… what exactly is going—"
Shiomi found the situation far too abnormal. Out of habit, he extended his hand, trying to ask what was happening.
"Don't co any closer!"
U-Olga Marie suddenly shouted.
A massive shockwave burst outward, so powerful that even Shiomi could not withstand it.
Morgan reacted instantly. The mont the force reached Shiomi, she rged with him again, forming the Unity God and avoiding the sudden impact.
The 'Alien God' panted heavily as she struggled to her feet.
"So we're going to fight after all?" Morgan frowned.
She had clearly noticed sothing wrong with U-Olga Marie.
If she were simply an enemy, it would have been easy.
But wearing that girl's face while showing such obvious pain made even Morgan hesitate for a mont.
U-Olga Marie gritted her teeth, brows deeply furrowed, staring at the Unity God Morgan as if searching her for the shadow of soone else.
Morgan understood.
Those eyes were looking at Shiomi.
The one who had rged with her, yet remained unseen.
They remained locked in that standoff for quite so ti.
Then suddenly, U-Olga Marie turned around and leapt off the mountain peak, heading deeper into Mictlan.
"Stop!"
Morgan was about to chase after her when an attack flew straight toward the mountain.
It wasn't aid at her. It struck the mountain itself, purely to delay her pursuit.
That brief mont of hesitation was enough.
The 'Alien God' had already vanished from sight.
"She got away," Shiomi said with a quiet sigh.
"But the way she fled… and that reaction earlier… just what exactly was going on…"
Morgan fell into thought, but no answer ca to her.
