Appearing on the plains were Deinos that had been turned into ghouls and Dead Apostles, attacking the enemies outside the city walls. Having lost all intellect, they were like monsters driven only by killing and feeding, indiscriminately assaulting every Deinos they encountered.

Fortunately, Scáthach and Artoria reacted quickly and moved to intercept first, preventing any casualties among the Deinos.

After the battle, the corpses of those Deinos, now stripped of all combat capability, quickly turned to dust and scattered across the plains in the wind.

When the Dinosaur King learned about the incident, he was very satisfied with Chaldea's performance and arranged for a large amount of supplies to be sent to them.

However, because of the attacks triggered by Camazotz, the Deinos were unwilling to leave Chichen Itza, so Chaldea had to enter the city themselves to collect the supplies.

"Camazotz is the only lifeform in Mictlan that surpasses the Deinos. To these dinosaur-humans, he is the embodint of terror."

The Dinosaur King said this during his second eting with Shiomi and the others.

Although the battle in the Second Netherworld ended without a decisive result, the retreat of the [Alien God] restored stability to the previously unstable Iztauhqui. The continuous tremors shaking the mountains finally stopped.

Chichen Itza no longer had to worry, at least for now, about the Second Netherworld collapsing and burying both the third and fifth layers of Mictlan.

Having t the conditions and earned a bit of goodwill along the way, the Dinosaur King was in an excellent mood, so he brought up the matter of Camazotz.

"How much do you know about Camazotz?" Shiomi asked directly, without any unnecessary preamble.

After all, the Dinosaur King had only ruled for a year, and he was not a native Servant of the Lostbelt. There was no guarantee he knew much.

"Listen carefully, Chaldea." The Dinosaur King shot Shiomi a slightly annoyed glance. "Tezcatlipoca is an omniscient and omnipotent god. Though not truly almighty, since even he cannot control what does not exist. For , Camazotz is a lifeform that already exists in Mictlan. Naturally, I have ways of knowing his general situation."

"Yes, yes..." Shiomi shrugged, acknowledging that his tone had been a bit off.

"Deep within the tree sea to the northwest lies the ruins of a city. In that ominous place, you'll find Camazotz's whereabouts," the Dinosaur King said. "That man is most likely in those ruins, a place called Ka'an."

"The ruins of Ka'an?" Morgan showed clear interest.

"Ka'an is a ruined city that existed long before Chichen Itza was built. Calling it the ruins of a kingdom wouldn't be far off either. In any case, it's been at least hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of years since then."

"Millions of years..." Shiomi fell silent for a mont.

In Proper Human History, the earliest human civilizations discovered so far could only be traced back around ten thousand years. Earlier ages belonged to the domain of gods and Phantasmal Species.

As the Age of Gods gradually gave way to the Age of Man, most remnants of that era disappeared. What little remained was largely preserved by Magus organizations and groups across the world, used as pathways to explore ancient Mystery.

Even so, the history that could actually be calculated only spanned tens of thousands of years.

The gods themselves only gradually took on the forms later humanity would praise and began interacting with humans after mankind began to flourish and multiply.

Before that, they existed more like special phenona of nature.

"In any case," the Dinosaur King continued, "when the Deinos built Chichen Itza, they investigated the ruins of the city called Ka'an. This city was constructed by referencing Ka'an's layout and architectural thods."

"So what exactly was Ka'an?" Shiomi asked. "Was it an old Deinos city that was abandoned due to political change or natural disasters, and then the population moved here to build a new one?"

"No idea. Like I said, I only know the general outline." The Dinosaur King smiled indifferently. "Camazotz has existed since ancient tis, and so has Ka'an. As for how they disappeared, that has nothing to do with . Nor do I need to know."

"No. It's not that you don't know. It's that the Deinos don't know. So as their king, you don't need to know either."

Morgan pointed out the flaw in the Dinosaur King's statent.

The Dinosaur King let out a mocking snort.

"So what? Even the priests here only sing about what happened after Chichen Itza was established."

At that point, he seed to rember sothing and added,

"But don't you have a Deinos traveling with you? That fellow nad Tepeu. The one who abandoned his duties as a priest and went to live in seclusion on the First Layer. Maybe he's heard sothing before. Ask him, and you might find sothing new."

"We'll do that," Shiomi replied without hesitation. "But right now, the most important thing is investigating the ruins of Ka'an and retrieving the Authority."

To be honest, Shiomi was starting to feel like his Authority was becoming a bit too popular.

Tezcatlipoca wanted Shiomi to retrieve all of it before fighting him.

Camazotz, on the other hand, wanted Shiomi to retrieve the second portion first, then fight him and have it all taken away.

"Fine. Go clean up the ruins of Ka'an. At the very least, it'll stop any more ghoulified Deinos from coming out to harass Chichen Itza. That saves so trouble," the Dinosaur King said.

Morgan crossed her arms.

"You're still the Blue Tezcatlipoca. You can't handle sothing like that yourself?"

"Good question. I can't," the Dinosaur King answered bluntly. "My duty is simply to maintain the survival of Chichen Itza and the Deinos. Anything beyond that has nothing to do with ."

"You admitted that surprisingly quickly." Shiomi almost stumbled when he heard that.

By now he was certain.

It wasn't that the Dinosaur King couldn't do it.

He simply refused to.

The Blue Tezcatlipoca and the Black Tezcatlipoca manifesting at the sa ti ant there had to be so kind of connection or contrast between the two.

What had the blue side done?

What had the black side done?

Eventually, their actions would intersect at so point in ti, either as enemies or as allies.

No matter what happened, one thing was clear: the Dinosaur King and Chaldea were not enemies.

"Oh, right. A reminder." The Dinosaur King added, "Now that the Second Netherworld has cald down, traveling from the Third Layer to the Fifth Layer is no longer difficult."

"The black side is in xico, on the Fifth Layer."

"You're saying Black Tezcatlipoca will attack again?" Shiomi asked.

"No. I'm referring to the Oceloh and their leader."

Standing atop the platform, the Dinosaur King looked down at Shiomi.

"The Oceloh and the Deinos are engaged in a struggle for survival. In the end, only one side will remain alive."

"In other words, since we're allied with the Deinos, we'll beco enemies of the Oceloh." Morgan nodded in understanding.

Shiomi turned around, preparing to leave.

"Then let's see which side moves faster."
