Leilani.

I closed my eyes as Jarek massaged my scalp gently, his warm fingers rubbing gently into my hair as he leaned down to press a kiss to my temple.

"Sweetcakes..." he drawled softly and I moaned in response with my eyes still closed. "Your parents are still downstairs at the reception, they’re asking to see you. Do you want to see them now or should we send them out of the company?"

I didn’t even bother with thinking about his words or anything at all. Right now, I didn’t care about anything besides his hands massaging my scalp and the way my stomach grumbled in hunger. I simply waved my hands dismissively and sighed; "Throw them out."

Then with a softer tone, I added; "If they refuse to go, let them be. But I am not going down there to see them, knowing fully well that all they have to say to is a bunch of garbage."

I opened my eyes then to see a small smile gracing Jay’s face. He leaned away, but not before ruffling my hair and then sat into his chair, his expression a mixture of mischief and excitent. He drawled; "And you don’t want to listen to the garbage?"

"No."

"Okay." He muttered, "I’ll have them dismissed from the property." He said, and with that, he moved away from to make a call.

A few minutes later, he returned to my side, a small gentle smile playing on his lips as he drawled; "They’ve refused to leave."

"And they shouldn’t," I answered. "I’ll make sure to use this to my advantage... and maybe play a little bit of Chalice’s ga by accusing them of stalking as well as harassing publicly when we get to court."

The chuckle that bubbled out of Jay’s mouth was contagious and I couldn’t help but smile when his head tipped back and his deep rich laughter filled the air. He said with a laugh. "Sotis I thank the Heavens that you’re not as bitchy as Chalice, you’d have been a very difficult person to handle."

"I don’t think..." I began to say, but stopped when a sudden thought struck my mind. I said; "Jay...?"

"Huh?"

"Do you rember that man you said had called Chalice Candy... you know, the first ti you heard the na?"

"Yeah, and I rember her reaction to it too. She had stiffened like a rock and then rushed out of the restaurant like the devil was hot on her tail." He answered, then cocking his eyebrows at , he asked; "Why have you asked about it?"

I shrugged. "Because I want to know if you ever got to find out why he had called her Candy. Her reaction to the na all the ti tells that there’s sothing up with it, and I want to know what it is."

Now, that made Jarek go silent for a few minutes. He nodded, a confused expression on his face as he drawled; "Yeah, too. I wouldn’t be surprised though if she’s in so sort of romantic relationship with him or worse..."

"...and maybe that’s his special nickna for her?" I added slowly, feeling quite unsure.

However, Jay was about to respond just then when his phone rang. He picked it up and I watched as the smile slowly left his face. He frowned and drawled; "Send her off."

Now, that had sitting upright. My brows furrowed as I took in his now darkened expression, but he wasn’t looking at . Hell, he wasn’t looking at anything... he was furious.

Silence settled between us, one that was soon broken when he groaned, his face scrunching up in irritation. He seethed;

"Tell her that she can only co in on one condition, and that’s if she’s ready to relinquish the mate bond, and reject ."

Oh, Keisha.

I froze.

He went quiet for a couple of seconds then nodded stiffly, his eyes dark. He growled; "Okay, send her in."

My heart dropped. Even my heart, for so reason, began to race. I glanced up at Jarek then to see him already watching , and sohow, despite his earlier rage, a smile stretched across his lips as he said to ; "Keisha is coming."

"Oh," I murmured, slowly rising to my feet.

His eyes t mine for a few seconds and then he frowned. "You’re leaving?" He asked, sounding like he couldn’t believe I’d leave him at a ti like this.

Forgive — But I didn’t want to be caught in their drama.

I didn’t want to be here when she would co in because I knew just how crazy my facial expressions could be, especially after everything I’ve known about her.

I smiled softly and brushed my fingers against his hair, and with a soft voice, I muttered; "Yes. I’m going to finish with my work for today and then co back to you so that you can give a ride ho."

That seed to ease him up a bit. He sighed and nodded then cast one longing glance at before he whispered; "Okay."

"Good."

And with that, I packed up my things and turned to leave. But just as I arrived at the door, it was pushed open and a gorgeous girl in dark clothes and brightly dyed pink and blonde hair strutted into the office, her eyes widening slightly when they landed on .

She inched closer and took a deep sniff, her nostrils flaring as she—

"You’re one of us!" She whispered to , smiling as she turned to face Jarek who now had a stony expression on his face.

Gosh, soone needs to stop the moon goddess from pairing people, because what do you an that she paired with those things and Jay with this! This!

At the thought, I glanced back at her to see her flashing a small smile, but before I could make out what it ant, she turned away to Jay and smirked;

"Is she the woman you told about? The one you say you love?"

He didn’t even hesitate and said imdiately; "Yes."

My face heated up. I smiled but my smile quickly dropped when she said;

"Then you must have a thing for freaks then... seeing as you’re about to dump one freak for another." She sassed, my jaws dropping as I watched her plop into one of the chairs and cross her legs whilst folding her arms across her chest as she drawled;

"You said you can only see when I agree to relinquish the mate bond, and here I am... relinquishing it! But trust , Jarek, this isn’t the end of us. We were fated for a reason."

"And you should shut up before I’m forced to throw you out!" Jarek growled, sending pheromones into the air.

A ton of prickling sensations ran up my body, but just like yesterday when Caelum had let out his Alpha aura, I didn’t cower. Keisha did.

Her eyes widened when she saw still standing by the door. She snorted, wiped off the blood stain under her nose and sassed; "She’s even a worse freak than I am."

And I do not know why it felt like she’d co here today simply to attack and pick on so I left, not sparing them another glance as I walked out of Jay’s office.

My heart was racing in my chest by the ti I arrived in my office and to my utmost surprise, when I got in, I found three n kneeling on the floor, their hands clasped together as they said in unison;

"We’re sorry, Leilani. We really are!"

My office was littered with wrapped gifts and fancy items; And if I was in a bad mood earlier, then it obviously beca worse when I saw the triplets and their stupid gifts.

I frowned, slipped back out to my office quietly and slamd the door against their faces.

"SECURITY!"
