Fated To Three, Betrayed By All… Until She Rose. Chapter 323: Oh shit

I swear to the goddess that I had many things I wanted to say to them, and while most of those said things were apologies, I couldn’t bring myself to speak.

Or move.

I was like a statue— one that had been struck by so extraordinary kind of lightning, but for so reason, I still felt like a statue whose entire body had been set ablaze by emotions I could barely control.

I felt more alive than I’ve ever felt in my entire life and now, I do not know if it was because they were standing right in front of and that this was looking like one of my childhood dreams or if it was because of the small voice I could now hear at the back of my mind, reminding of how much of a fucked up whore I was.

That is my Lycan-wolf, Nyx, by the way...

And that brings to my second reason! That I am probably this excited because of her. Because I can finally feel her. And because I now knew what it ant to have a separate entity living rent-free in your head, eating to jump out at any given mont.

I could feel her roll her eyes at at the Lycan-wolf nickna and she snorted; "The moon goddess always knew that one mate would never be enough for you and that’s why she gave you three."

"Shut up!" I snarled, smiling.

"And now, I don’t know... I just feel like I’ve been betrayed by being mated to three. I can’t keep up with all the emotions their wolf keeps bombarding with!"

My cheeks were burning up like I had a fever and there was this permanent smile on my face that I found difficult to wipe off.

However, I was soon snapped out of that reverie when Zevran stepped forward, planted his hand on my shoulders and leaned forward, so much so that he was breathing directly in my face.

He asked; "Are you okay?"

"Oh... uhm... I am. I guess I am!" I rushed out, trying desperately to wave him off but failing just as much as I tried.

The place where our skins touched felt electric and I could swear that I could see sparks flying around us like in one of those movies where a person gets electrocuted.

"Are you sure?"

I nodded. "Yes, yes... I am!"

"So when were you going to tell us that you’ve gotten your wolf?"

That was Kael, the ever seeing one with predator-like eyes that could see into anyone’s soul. My heart skipped a beat at his words and my head whipped up just then to et his piercing gaze.

When our eyes t, I felt this flutter in my stomach and I glanced away just as he shrugged; "I can feel her. We all can practically feel her... she’s like just there, difficult to shake off. Yet... there..."

"Then you should know that she isn’t just a wolf," I drawled with a smile, almost trying to dismiss the thought that they could feel it. And when I say it, I an all of it. "She’s a Lycan-wolf."

"Oh!" Caelum chuckled, his ssy hair bouncing as he took off the apron he’s been wearing since I walked down the stairs.

And I hated that I found them attractive at a ti like this. I hated that they had the guts to be this cute and soft... and everything I would never associate them with in the past.

So I looked for a fault. "You guys don’t seem happy for ," I snapped, pounding at their not-so-enthusiastic faces.

"What?! We don’t seem what?" Caelum nearly scread,

"I for one am glad that you wouldn’t have to go through all of that you used to in the absence of your wolf." Kael chirped in,

"And I am glad that you, Leilani, finally feel whole." Zevran added.

Their kind words made a blush creep up my cheeks. But do you know what made feel warr?

The fact that I could feel them. That I could sense their want. Their happiness. Their urge to hug . Their desire flowing through the mate bond like so freaking drainage pipe. Yet they were being so decent.

Hell, they couldn’t even bring themselves to look in the eyes!

Sothing about that made my chest feel tight but in a good way and goddess, I could almost choke on all the emotions that sent crawling up my head.

However, just when I decided to comnt on that, Kael pointed to his boxer shorts and asked softly; "Where’s our clothes, Lani?"

I blinked. "I sincerely do not know but I guess we would have to look for it now." I answered truthfully, walking away before the blush on my face would betray .

We ruffled through the entire house for a couple of minutes until I realized that I had put the clothes in the dryer! Without washing them!

But the good news was: they were dry enough to be worn!

Chuckling, I took the clothes out of the dryer and went to the living room where I could hear their voices coming from, and as soon as they saw approaching, they froze, turned to and smiled when they saw their clothes.

No one bothered to ask why they were so rumpled or overly dry. No one even said a word as they all turned away to look for ’special’ quiet spots to change their clothes.

But just as they turned to walk away, my doorbell suddenly rang.

I turned to them. "Are any of you expecting any guests?"

Caelum quickly shook his head. "No."

"I texted our driver your address because the car we brought here last night wouldn’t co on when I tried to... you know... park in a better spot earlier this morning," Kael answered, and at his words, I nodded.

However, I still felt sowhat uncomfortable even after hearing him. I felt like this was a premonition and that sothing terrible was about to happen.

Kael, in all his half-naked glory, went over to the door to pull it open and just as he did, I imdiately knew why I felt this way all along.

Because standing right there was a person I’d almost forgotten about. A person whose face used to have the ability to light up my day at any given ti.

A person who now looked like he was about to throw up as his eyes raked from my flimsy dress to the half-naked n in my house.

I froze and my throat instantly went dry..

"Jay?"
