“I’ll make so tea for you,” Ann Nolan said with a genial smile.
“Sure, Ann’s tea-making skills are quite good.”
Ann went inside to get the purple clay teapot and brewed so Pu-erh tea for Grandfather Santos, his favorite.
At this mont, she felt fate was quite wonderful.
She had not expected him to be Zaiden Santos’s brother.
No wonder she thought there was a resemblance to Zaiden the last ti she saw Zachary Santos. It wasn’t her imagination after all.
The villa’s courtyard was peaceful and quiet.
The weather on Qixi Festival was clear and sunny. Ann didn’t want to disturb them, so after making tea, she went to the kitchen to help out.
She planned to cook a few dishes for Grandfather herself.
Grandfather Santos had always liked the dishes she made.
Since she hadn’t co for half a month, it was right for her to show her gratitude.
She made a dish of tomato-sauced beef fillet, as well as stir-fried prawns and garlic crayfish.
“The steak only needs to be seared dium-rare before you add the sauce; it helps the flavors to penetrate,” Zachary Santos suddenly said from behind her.
Ann was startled, and a drop of oil splashed onto the back of her hand.
“Mr. Santos, what brings you here? Is Grandfather still outside?” she asked.

“Grandfather was just on a phone call, so I ca to see what you were doing,” Zachary said. “Just call Evan, whatever you like.”
Perhaps it was the heat of the kitchen, but beads of sweat ford on Ann’s face.
“It’s quite a coincidence, I didn’t expect to et you again. I really appreciate what you did last ti; it was a big help. I ntioned I wanted to invite you for a al, didn’t think I’d get the chance.”
“I didn’t expect you were married,” Zaiden said calmly, “and to my brother at that.”
“I didn’t expect you were Zaiden’s brother. After the last ti you were in Landon, have you been staying with Grandfather ever since?” she asked.
“Last ti I hurried back to the country, I had to catch a plane in the afternoon, that’s why I left the hospital in a rush. Was your foot okay afterward?”
“It’s fine, it healed quickly. I’m as lively as ever,” Ann chatted while cooking. “Did your brother know you were back last ti?”
“Yes.”
“And this ti?”
“He knows as well,” Evan leaned against the wall, arms folded. “My schedule isn’t a secret.”
Ann fell silent; the atmosphere in the kitchen grew sowhat complicated.
There was no one else around, and Zachary just leaned against the wall with his legs crossed, exuding grace and composed elegance.
Sunlight stread through the kitchen window, adding a golden luster to Ann’s fair complexion.
Her dark eyelashes glimred, and her double eyelids looked even more attractive.
“Did you also rush back this ti?” Ann asked.
“Yes, just handling so things. I leave tomorrow.”
“You’re overseas… Oh no,” she exclaid.
A droplet of oil splashed out again!
Zachary’s reflexes were quick; he swiftly grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the frying pan.
But he overestimated his strength; Ann’s feet slipped, and she fell into Zachary Santos’s arms!
In her panic, Ann clutched at Zachary’s shirt sleeve, which kept her from falling.
What hit her nose was the scent of Zachary’s cologne, a light and refined fragrance.
