Chapter 1041: Chapter 1041: Why Bully My Jasy Chapter 1041: Chapter 1041: Why Bully My Jasy “I think children look pretty good like this,” Jasmine Yale said lightly.

There was no particular expression on her face, only a composed and aloof deanor, with a faint tranquility and serenity in her eyes.

“That’s your aesthetic, because you don’t understand what fashion and taste are,” Cora Jorney said angrily, “Who knows what Little Chale Cheney will turn into if he keeps following you.”

“Do you look down on that much, Professor Jorney? I have never done anything to wrong your daughter, and I wasn’t lying about going abroad. This ti, it was only because Little Chale ca that I spent ti playing with him. If that’s not acceptable either, then go complain to Mr. Cheney.”

“I’m not one to tattle, but I think what you’re doing is too obvious,” Cora Jorney said indignantly. “Can’t get close to Mr. Cheney, so you cozy up to the child? Is this your roundabout strategy? If I hadn’t caught you today, what would your next step be? To buy the child’s affection? To have the child speak well of you in front of Mr. Cheney and then to drive a wedge between Mr. Cheney and Joan?”

“Miss Yale, am I right?”

Cora Jorney’s words struck Jasmine like hamr blows to her heart.

Jasmine’s heart thudded incredulously.

“Why must you speculate about others’ intentions like this?” Jasmine challenged, “Is it appropriate to use words like ‘bribery’ and ‘instigation’ on a child?”

She had never instigated Chale Cheney, let alone bribed him.

Chaley and she rely liked each other, reluctant to part.

Jasmine’s eyes were filled with tumultuous waves, her heart racing.

Under the light, her complexion was sowhat pale.

“I an no harm, I just hope I haven’t hit a nerve,” Cora Jorney said evenly. “I’m in a good mood today which is why I’m giving you this warning here. If I were in a bad mood, I would have taken action already, understand?”

Cora Jorney’s anger subsided, her eyes hardened.

Her dignity remained intact, but her eyes revealed a fierce ruthlessness.

Jasmine sneered sarcastically.

“Professor Jorney, so you’ve moved on to threatening now, have you?”

“Let’s put it this way, let’s compare,” Cora Jorney crossed her arms, casually looking at Jasmine, “You’re without parents, without background, without family roots, do you think… if I wanted to do sothing, it would be easy for ?”

“Don’t bully Jasy!” Chale Cheney suddenly appeared, holding a small goldfish, glaring at Cora Jorney, “Who are you, and why are you bullying my Jasy?”

The little fellow was small and short, and he looked up at Cora Jorney with anger puffing up his cheeks.

Really angry!

His cheeks bulged, his eyes glaring fiercely at Cora Jorney.

Cora Jorney was slightly taken aback and looked down.

Chale Cheney and Sylvan Cheney looked strikingly similar, as if cast from the sa mold.

Seeing Chale Cheney truly felt like seeing Sylvan Cheney.

After a mont, Cora Jorney’s expression softened, and she squatted down: “I’m your grandma, just call Grandma Jorney.”

Cora Jorney reached out to touch the little fellow’s head.

Chale Cheney, holding the small goldfish, took a step back, pressing closely to Jasmine.

Cora Jorney’s hand paused mid-air, stunned, her eyes filled with even greater astonishnt.

Had Jasmine really beco so close to Mr. Cheney’s son?

Moreover, did Chale Cheney say “my Jasy”?

This woman, how did she bewitch the child to this extent?

Chale Cheney stared at Cora Jorney with big eyes, pressing tightly against Jasmine, as if he felt the need to protect Jasmine.
