Besides, marriage isn’t sothing to be ashad of, so why would I hide it?”
Jasmine Yale couldn’t be bothered to argue with Linnie Elwin.
It was clear they were just making up rumors, trying to concoct so sort of excuse.
Marriage? Haha.
“Oh wow, listen to you, as if I’m spreading rumors about you. Please, what about you is worth my rumor-mongering? The information I had my father check, could it be false? What I didn’t expect was that you’d actually deny it? My God, is your husband that embarrassing that you won’t even admit to it?” Linnie Elwin shrieked dramatically.
Her friends chid in with her—
“Linnie, you’ve hit her sore spot, she definitely doesn’t want to talk about it, that’s why she’s deliberately keeping it a secret. Who knows if she married so guy who’s both poor and ugly.”
“I’ve heard there’s sothing called a ‘child bride’ in the countryside, you don’t think that Jasmine Yale was sold to so old man when she was little, do you? You know, the type that’s much older than her. As an adult, she’d have to marry this old man. Usually, these n are over a dozen years older than their wives!”

“Boring.” Jasmine Yale rolled her eyes.

“You won’t shed a tear until you see the coffin, will you, Jasmine Yale? Don’t want to promise? Or are you feeling guilty? The things we just said, are they all true about you? Does it hit close to ho? You co to study, but deep down you’re just looking for a backer!”
“Enough, Linnie Elwin, are you done? If you want to spread rumors, then go ahead. I’ve said I’m not married, I’m still single. As long as you’re not afraid of the consequences, go spread your rumors!”
Jasmine Yale was annoyed.
This completely unfounded accusation was pinned on her.
It was clearly just a sar campaign.
Seeing Jasmine’s unafraid deanor, Linnie Elwin’s two friends nudged her cautiously, asking softly—
“Linnie, are the things you checked facts?”
