Chapter 1138: Chapter 1138: Baby Misses Jasy
“I’ve seen it, the doctor said children have weak immune systems, so fever is normal; there’s no serious concern, but he needs to rest for a few days.”
“Okay,” Sylvan Cheney basically agreed.
“Mr. Cheney, the young master kept calling for you when he had a fever, calling ‘Daddy’,” Lilac Serval was sowhat moved.
She wasn’t lying; when Chale Cheney had a fever, he was delirious and in great discomfort, sotis calling for “Daddy,” sotis for “Mommy.”
It was painful for her to listen to.
“Don’t indulge him,” Sylvan said indifferently.
“Mr. Cheney, aren’t you coming to Lonton?”
“No.”
“I understand,” Lilac nodded, knowing Sylvan always ant what he said.
“Mr. Cheney, it’s ti to change the dressing.” Just then, Charles Mcintosh walked in from the entrance.
When he saw Sylvan on the phone, he quickly silenced himself.
Sylvan hung up the phone, setting his cellphone aside: “It was Lilac.”
“About Chale?”
“Yes.”
Charles didn’t ask further and brought the doctor over to change Sylvan’s dressing.
The wound on Sylvan’s chest hadn’t healed yet, and any struggle caused a tearing pain.
As the doctor changed Sylvan’s dressing, Charles stepped outside to call Lilac.
“I’ve been too busy to go to Lonton lately,” Charles said from near the window, lowering his voice.
“Lonton isn’t very welcoming to you either.”
“Rember to wear more clothes, drink less, cook your als on ti every day; if I find out you’ve been sneaking to the bar again, I’ll think about how to punish you.”
“Are you fucking annoying or not? You’ve only been back in Landon for a few days, and you’re already this nagging. Don’t co to Lonton; it’s so annoying, I get irritated just seeing you,” Lilac couldn’t help but kick a sofa.
Charles’s stay was simply her nightmare.
He lived across her door and even installed a cara at the doorway.
As soon as she stepped out, he would know imdiately.
She couldn’t go to bars or nightclubs anymore; the only leisure activity left was probably just shopping.
He would cook three als a day and call her on ti to eat.
Her life used to be a total ss, even sleeping in the morning after partying all night.
Since Charles arrived, he would knock on her door around eight in the morning, bringing her breakfast.
Initially, it tornted her to madness, but eventually, she got used to it.
She was lazy about cooking anyhow, and now having als ready, she felt she could accept it.
Sotis, she didn’t want to go out all day and simply lay lazily on the sofa at ho, reading a book until soone brought food over when it was ti.
During the few months Charles was in Lonton, she almost got used to this life of having everything handed to her.
Dependency is not a good thing.
Later, upon hearing sothing had happened back in Landon, Charles hurried back, and her life returned to normal.
Only she couldn’t adjust right away, still waking up punctually at eight every morning, but the living room was empty without breakfast.
Lilac felt it was terrifying to be in such a state; she didn’t want to fall into this endless habit.
“I’m not coming to Lonton; you could co to Landon,” Charles said.
“Charles, I’m going to see Little Chale Cheney; I’ll call you later, I have sothing to ask you.”
“Okay.”
Lilac hung up the phone and walked from the corridor to the ward.
Little Chale Cheney lay pitifully on the bed, not moving, blinking his listless large eyes, his little paws clutching the blanket.
“Chale, did you take your dicine?”
“I did,” Chale puckered his lips.
“Good, very obedient, Auntie is with you, no need to go to the training ground today.”
“Baby misses Jasy,”
Lilac paused while peeling the apple, not knowing what to say.
