Chapter 1164: Chapter 1164: Are You Really So Ruthless?
Sylvan Cheney’s tone carried a trace of displeasure.
Jasmine Yale pouted, “You’re lying, you’re deceiving , and I don’t like people who lie.”
“Childish, isn’t it?” Sylvan Cheney scoffed, “Jasmine Yale, if you keep asking these questions, I will imdiately send you to Cakago.”
“Do you think I like staying in Landon? If it weren’t for so things, I would never have co back, never to see you again!”
Jasmine Yale’s eyes, red and burning, stared at him with an intense gaze.
She had not beco so bored as to actively seek out a man who didn’t keep his word.
Since she had gone to Cakago, she thought they would from then on be parallel lines, but so things… she just had to be involved with him.
“Got a boyfriend in Cakago?” Sylvan Cheney asked indifferently.
Jasmine Yale was stunned for a mont; his conversation shifted quickly.
“Hmm?” He lifted the pitch of his voice, pressing.
“My personal affairs, I don’t need to tell you.”
“You’ve grown wings, and indeed I can’t control you anymore. But I’m telling you one last ti, Hadley Xinez and your brother, they’re dead.”
“They’re dead, huh? Where’s the graveyard, take there.” Jasmine Yale didn’t believe his ghost stories, her conviction was firm.
“Graveyard? Do you think I’m kind enough to buy them a grave? Their ashes were scattered at sea long ago.” Sylvan Cheney sneered.
“I don’t believe it!”
“If you still don’t believe it, then forget it, I really don’t know how to prove it to you.”
Sylvan Cheney was very calm; his composure was in stark contrast to Jasmine Yale.
Jasmine Yale’s eyes widened; she clutched the fishing rod in her hand, attempting to detect any sign of lying on his face.
But there was none; he was very serene, very calm.
“You’re lying, aren’t you? Are you really that heartless? Do you have to exterminate them completely?”
“When Patronus Xinez was killing mbers of the Cheney Family, no one asked that question. Besides, whether I am heartless or not, don’t you know?”
“So… you’re going to seek revenge, right? There’s only left from the Xinez Family.” Jasmine Yale’s hands were trembling.
Sitting side by side with the executioner on the observation deck, how could she not tremble, not be afraid?
Her bright eyes misted over with a thin layer of moisture, her long eyelashes quivering, fluttering like delicate butterfly wings.
“While I’m in a good mood, you’d better head back to Cakago sooner rather than later, otherwise, I can’t guarantee anything.” Sylvan Cheney spoke indifferently.
“Sylvan Cheney, getting to know you really has been a very uninteresting affair.” Jasmine Yale tossed aside her fishing rod, “You are the coldest, most rciless person I’ve ever t, you have no heart, and soone like you deserves to die alone!”
Furious, she stood up and walked away.
The fishing rod dipped as a fish bit, and the whole rod fell into the pond.
Her scent still lingered in the air, but at the spot, only he sat alone.
Getting to know him, was it really such an uninteresting affair?
Jasmine Yale obviously hadn’t experienced much, a little too impatient.
She ran all the way to the garden, crying alone in the secluded pavilion, gasping for breath between sobs.
Her cries echoed in the empty pavilion, long and drawn out.
His sure tone told her that her father and brother, whom she had never t, were both dead, murdered by him.
An eye for an eye, in the end, he had done it, repaying the blood debt for the Cheney Family.
His hands were stained with the blood of her kin.
Did he spare her only because he couldn’t bring himself to do it?
After all, fate plays cruel tricks; they had lived together for so many years.
