Chapter 1216: Chapter 1216: Could it be a pregnancy?

“Do you want to find a new job and move to Chicago to live with ?”

“I might not have ti to find a new job.”

Jasmine didn’t understand, why wouldn’t there be ti to find a job?

With Ann Nolan’s qualifications, finding a job would be a breeze; why wouldn’t there be ti?

“Ann, are you still living in the rented apartnt? Has he made things difficult for you?”

Ann Nolan shook her head: “He hasn’t made things difficult for ; I’m trying to move to the UT before the end of the year.”

“Before the end of the year? That’s so soon. Do you have soone to help you in Landon?”

“It’s fine, I can manage.” Ann Nolan’s voice was faint, as thin as a wisp of air, with a hoarse tone.

“Ann, when did you complete the divorce proceedings?”

“Yesterday.”

“He really didn’t make things difficult for you?”

“No.”

“Ann, are you okay? It’s just a sha I’m not in the country, otherwise I…”

“Jasmine, it’s okay, nothing major. I can handle it myself.” Ann Nolan said indifferently, “We’ll see each other in the UT; I need a rest now…”

“Okay, if there’s anything, call , rember to call , don’t get too exhausted.”

“Uh-huh.”

Jasmine found herself willing but powerless; she wasn’t in Landon, but if she were, she definitely wouldn’t let Ann be alone at a ti like this.

You could tell, she had cried.

Love is such a thing, one cannot truly comprehend unless having gone through it personally.

She knew Ann Nolan had loved Zaiden Santos; loved him dearly, her whole tender youth was spent loving him.

Jasmine’s hands gently stroked the straps of her backpack, all of a sudden not knowing where to go or what to do.

The sunlight poured down from above, bright and blinding.

In Landon, it was already deep into the night.

Ann Nolan turned off the bedside lamp.

Once the light was out, the bedroom was subrged in darkness, so black she couldn’t see her hand in front of her face.

Outside, the wind howled, and Ann Nolan’s face bore a tired gloom; she closed her eyes, clutched the blanket, and lay down in silence.

Her phone was switched off, faint tear stains still visible beneath her eyes, not yet vanished.

It was very late, the surroundings completely silent, save for her faint breathing.

The whole day, she had stayed in bed, not going anywhere, yet her hands and feet were still ice cold, without a hint of warmth.

The surroundings were cold and quiet.

Another winter had passed, and this winter, she could return to her previous state, alone.

Oh, no…

Ann Nolan’s hand rested on her lower abdon.

Suddenly her eyes moistened in a circle.

Her mind incessantly replayed all the fragnts of yesterday, by sheer coincidence, everything that should and shouldn’t have happened, all occurred on the sa day.

The night before last.

After working overti until eight or nine in the evening, she returned alone to her small apartnt.

But after coming back, she couldn’t stop vomiting, her body extraordinarily exhausted, head spinning and vision blurred.

She used to work overti but never like this.

And her physical condition was not bad; it was unlikely that she would fall seriously ill all of a sudden.

Leaning over the sink, she vomited powerlessly, the water in the sink gurgling loudly.

Vomiting almost bile, her face was exceptionally pale, and she felt very sick.

Why was this happening?

Ann Nolan was puzzled, and just then, a fearful thought leapt out, could it be a pregnancy?

She had been feeling weak recently, easily dozing off at work, unintentionally falling asleep.

Initially, she thought it was due to exhaustion from overti, but today she vomited for no reason, and that terrible thought ca to mind.
