Chapter 1284: Chapter 1284: Ti to Consider a Lifeti Commitnt
“No,” he said expressionlessly, without any hesitation.
Jasmine Yale closed her eyes briefly, a look of disappointnt in them.
“You’re still lying to ,” Jasmine clutched her phone, taking a while before she finally spoke, “When did you start liking to lie to like this…”
“Jasmine Yale, I have no need to lie to you, don’t deceive yourself. If you really like children, then have one with Yukon Carbon. In three to five years, it’ll be jumping and hopping just like Chaley.”
“You…” Jasmine’s hand was trembling, and her throat felt like it was blocked by a stone, her eyes widened in disbelief.
What was he saying?
That if she liked children, she should have one with Yukon Carbon?
Haha…
“You’re graduating in a year and a half, right? You’re not getting any younger, you should think about settling down,” Sylvan Cheney said indifferently.
“I don’t need you to worry about my business!” Jasmine’s emotions were out of control, her voice changed despite her efforts to restrain herself,
“You should spend so ti with Chaley. He’s only five years old, and you haven’t seen him for a long ti. You’re not a qualified father. He has no mother, and is already pitiable. If you don’t co to see him, how is he any different from an orphan?”
“He’s my son, of course, I will visit him.”
“I hope you don’t neglect him. Even if you remarry and have other children, don’t forget him. Chaley is really a well-behaved child…”
“Hmm, is that all?”
“You…are going to marry Miss Harry soon, right?”
“Are you very interested in my business?”
“I just think that if you get married, you need to find a woman who will be good to Chaley, don’t let him down; he’s a good kid.”
“Joan has always liked children.”
“That’s good then.” The sunlight passed through the window and fell on her face, which showed no emotion, only a vague and bewildered look, “I know your judgnt is solid; whoever you choose, won’t let Chaley down.”
Jasmine Yale couldn’t quite rember what Joan Harry looked like.
In her mory, she was a cheerful and sweet girl, with a good family background, appearance, and personality.
Everything was good.
If she could wholeheartedly accept Chaley, that would be even better.
“What ti is your flight? I will have the driver take you to the airport.”
“It’s not necessary, I can take a taxi there,” Jasmine’s voice was indistinguishable between joy or sorrow.
She and he, they no longer even had any common topics to discuss.
Twelve years of daily companionship, and now they were strangers.
“Suit yourself.”
“If there’s nothing else, let’s leave it at that then, I won’t take Chaley away, rest assured,” Jasmine said.
For a long ti, neither of them hung up the phone.
Silence reigned on both ends.
Just when Jasmine thought he had already hung up the phone, suddenly, four faint words ca from the other end—
“Happy New Year.”
Jasmine was stunned for a mont, then also faintly replied, “Happy New Year.”
The sunlight fell on her face, warm yet sowhat piercing.
She raised her head, her eyes full of shattered traces.
In her brows, like frozen lilacs, each point restrained her sorrow.
After hanging up the phone, Jasmine walked towards her suitcase.
The little guy was sitting on her suitcase, clutching the handle, looking at her with anticipation, “Jasy, did daddy agree to let go with you?”
“That’s not the case.” Jasmine bent down and rubbed his head, “Listen to what your master says, your father ntioned he will co to see you soon.”
