“Jasmine…” Joe Heath suddenly didn’t know what to say.

If you have ti to visit the Cheney Residence, you will find that my older brother has dismissed all the servants there. If he hadn’t made his choice, why would he have dismissed the servants?”
“Do you want to stay with him?” Jasmine Yale looked up and asked.
“Yes, if possible,” Joe Heath nodded. “His health is not good now, and I fear if you don’t return, even if he were to be imprisoned, he might not survive three years. Do you know? After you left, he seed indifferent, ever seen soone who smokes while having a fever? That’s his current state.”
Jasmine Yale knew.
Fever, coughing up blood and still smoking; he wasn’t taking his health seriously at all.

“His illness is incurable, and yet, he listens to no one,” Joe Heath said. “But he will listen to you.”
“I’m not dicine, nor am I his perfect match,” Jasmine Yale spoke dryly, her eyes clear and shallow with unfathomable traces at their depths.
She had stopped crying, but her long eyelashes still carried a mist of water.

Slowly digesting the information she hadn’t processed earlier.
“Jasmine, I know you’ve never forgotten him.”
“You don’t understand .”
“Let’s say I don’t!” Joe Heath didn’t argue, “I’ve done many bad things in my life, now I want to do sothing good, and yet no one supports .”
Joe Heath reached out to tidy her hair for her, sighing deeply in his heart.
“Little Jasmine, I need to go to France now. Landon is windy and cold, take care to keep warm, don’t end up like my brother, catching colds and getting fevers,” Joe Heath advised. “Take good care of yourself, and call if anything cos up. I’ll bring you a gift!”
“There’s no need for gifts for ; bring it for your little nephew,” Jasmine Yale said lightly. “He loves toy models, especially airplane models. I bought him many models, but unfortunately, we could never assemble them properly; we always end up with parts missing or extra. He’s always wanted his dad to assemble it with him…”
“If you bring him one, make sure it’s already assembled. He would definitely be thrilled,” Jasmine Yale smiled. “He’d also be happy with a little fox you bring him.”
Jasmine Yale’s voice was calm, one word at a ti, almost as if void of temperature.
Joe Heath’s heart skipped a beat; he wasn’t used to this kind of Jasmine Yale—rather, he’d prefer if Jasmine Yale called him “liar” than being so quiet.
“I will bring him a gift,” Joe Heath said.
“That’s good, visit him when you have ti. Have you not visited him for a long while? Little guy has grown taller, and when he smiles he has two dimples, just like .” Jasmine Yale suddenly laughed, a bright gleam in her eyes.
Only when talking about Chale Cheney, her eyes were always vibrant and radiant.
Her whole being seed very happy.
