"If I give it to you, just take it, but rember, once you take my check, you’re not allowed to pester anymore, got it?"
Little Jinny wavered for a few minutes before finally reaching out to take the check.
For an ordinary bar girl, half a million... was indeed a sizable sum.
Enough for her to change her ways and live a good life.
"Mr. Rowan, Little Jinny understands." The girl looked demure, "Mr. Rowan, let keep you company for another night, I guarantee you’ll feel good tonight."
"Alright, I’m busy tonight," Jesse Rowan rubbed his temples.
Seeing Jesse’s exhausted look, the girl reckoned he must have been worn out these past few days by other won.
"Mr. Rowan, do you just discard won once you’re tired of them?" she asked coyly, massaging his shoulders with her hands.
"Otherwise? Won in your youth are just for fun. What, Little Jinny, you want to stay with forever?"
"People still like Mr. Rowan very much."
"But I don’t like you," Jesse Rowan chuckled softly, almost teasing.
"Mr. Rowan, will there be a chance to et again in the future?"
"There won’t be any more chances. I don’t want to see the won once I’ve paid them, understand?"
Upon hearing this, the girl felt upset, her eyes misting over, on the verge of tears.
"Alright, take the check and leave, I don’t want a woman’s company tonight." Jesse Rowan’s tone was definitive.
"Got it." The girl seed to understand Jesse Rowan’s temperant.
This man didn’t like lingering attachnts with won.
Besides, she was just a bar girl, not fit for public appearances, a few days of fun was enough.
To be given a check for half a million was already quite generous of Jesse Rowan.
She didn’t even have the qualifications for long-term sponsorship!
Furthermore, she could tell that this man craved novelty, that’s why he changed won so frequently.
After all, Jesse Rowan appeared to be just over twenty, a young man, full of vigor, all for the thrill of the new.
At that mont, the private room’s door was pushed open.
Sylvan Cheney appeared at the doorway.
The girl flustered for a second, looking up to see Sylvan Cheney.
"Mr. Rowan, you have a guest."
"Hmm, go down."
"Okay, okay." The girl took the check and left.
Sylvan Cheney frowned, he didn’t like the sll in the private room.
Jesse Rowan opened a bottle of red wine and poured a glass for Sylvan Cheney.
"You’ve been seeking out over and over again, what exactly do you want?" Sylvan Cheney closed the door, took long strides over, and sat opposite Jesse Rowan.
"Mr. Cheney, have a drink first, let’s talk while we’re drinking. Oh, by the way, the won at this bar aren’t bad at all, each a beauty; Mr. Cheney, do you want to call one over?"
Sylvan Cheney didn’t take the wine glass, speaking indifferently, "Let’s talk business, I need to get ho."
"Ho?" Jesse Rowan was surprised, "A single man going ho? Wouldn’t that be hiding a beauty in the golden house, going back to see a mistress?"
"Jesse Rowan, I don’t have much patience to chat with you."
"Oh." Jesse Rowan took a sip of wine, "The Harry Family hasn’t been having a peaceful ti lately."
"I know it’s your doing, Jesse Rowan, business should be fair competition, the tricks you used on the Harry Family, they’re despicable."
"It’s just stirring up so trouble, nothing despicable about that. Mr. Cheney, I have even more despicable tricks, want to see?"
Sylvan Cheney’s temples throbbed a few tis, his gaze fixed on Jesse Rowan’s eyes.
On Jesse Rowan’s youthful face was a sinister smile as he casually took out a sealed file from his bag.
