Jesse Rowan paused his fingers and disdainfully glanced at Sylvan Cheney, left montarily speechless by the choking.
Can’t we have a proper conversation?
Sylvan Cheney didn’t mind his gaze and simply leaned calmly on the sofa.
Jesse Rowan awkwardly put away his phone and took a drag of his cigarette.
“Mr. Cheney’s life seems rather dull. It looks like the generation gap between us isn’t just a small one,” Jesse tapped on the table, “I’m quite curious, what are Mr. Cheney’s hobbies? Golfing? Racing? Or is it making money?”
When Jesse Rowan smiled, revealing his pearly white teeth, he seed like soone who was naive about the ways of the world.
“Didn’t you say you weren’t interested in other people’s private lives?”
“Oh, true, but I’m just simply curious,” Jesse said, “My hobbies are quite diverse. Racing, horse riding, bowling—I’m proficient in all of them. That way, life isn’t too monotonous, too boring. If Mr. Cheney wants to join, he can find . Business might not always pan out, but fellowship remains, right?”
The corners of Sylvan Cheney’s lips held an indifferent curve.
In his youth, he had indeed dabbled in these things too—what man isn’t a little curious about new experiences?
But now, he found them increasingly uninteresting.
Jesse Rowan touched his chin, genuinely finding Sylvan Cheney difficult to amuse. How should one get along with such a person?

He stepped out of the private room.
“Honey, I saw the weather forecast saying it’ll rain tonight. Be careful when you drive, don’t catch a cold.”

“You didn’t bring an umbrella, right? Don’t get drenched.”
“It won’t take that long, are you waiting for ?”
“It’s still early, I haven’t slept yet, I’m watching TV.” Jasmine Yale rested her head on her hand, distractedly staring at the TV screen, “I just saw the weather forecast, so I thought I’d call you.”
“I got it.”
“Don’t worry, I’m not checking up on you,” Jasmine Yale hurriedly explained, she trusted Sylvan Cheney very much.
The corners of Sylvan Cheney’s lips twitched slightly: “I don’t mind you checking up.”
Jasmine Yale’s heart skipped a beat, she bit her lip, her eyes filled with deep affection and a flowing luster.
Who says this man is indifferent? Sotis he can swoop in and charm you unexpectedly.
“Then I won’t disturb you further, you go ahead,” Jasmine said.
“Mmm.”
Sylvan Cheney ended the call and turned around to re-enter the private room.
Jesse Rowan looked at him with a aningful glance and giggled, “From my experience, that was definitely a call from a woman.”
“Jesse Rowan, has anyone ever told you that you talk too much?”
“Since I was young, no one has ever said I talk little. Don’t you think I’m lively and cheerful?” Jesse Rowan shalessly looked at Sylvan Cheney, “Am I right? It was a woman, wasn’t it?”
Sylvan Cheney did not respond to his comnt.
“From Mr. Cheney’s eyes, it’s undoubtedly a woman; a man only shows such emotion in his eyes when talking to a woman he likes. This is my years of experience, I’m absolutely undefeated in this.”
Jesse Rowan felt that this woman must be very cherished by Mr. Cheney, knowing well that Sylvan Cheney is soone not easily swayed.
“Bring out all the docunts; let’s talk business,” Sylvan Cheney switched to a more serious tone.
Jesse Rowan’s eyes narrowed.
