The boy spoke in one breath, his tone filled with anxious urgency.
He feared her leaving him, and also worried that his poor behavior might disappoint her...
He only hated that ti passed too slowly—he was just in his first year of college, wanting to study abroad, but would have to wait at least two more years.

Inside the dim private room, the amber light cast a somber glow.
The rain outside pelted against the window, occasionally producing a "pitter-patter" sound.
Spring nights were so silent.
"Alright, I’ll wait for you," Lilac Serval said, once again repeating those words.
The young man before her was dressed casually, no longer resembling the bartender he used to be. He was already handso, but now he was even more striking.
His features were refined, his skin fair.
Lilac Serval leaned back lazily, not in the mood to speak, simply wanting to gaze at him.
On such a rainy night, one’s mood inevitably grew heavy.
Under the amber light, the boy’s silhouette before her began to blur slightly...
Her mind was a tangled ss, like a ball of chaotic strings, impossible to unravel.
"Sister Lilac, it’s getting late. Should I take you ho?" Little 11 asked cautiously. "Is your luggage all packed?"
"You go ahead. I’ll sit here a little while longer."
"No way. I don’t feel at ease—I won’t leave you here alone." Little 11’s expression turned serious as he stood up from the couch and walked to her side.
Lilac Serval smiled. "I’m not so seventeen or eighteen-year-old teenage girl. What’s there to worry about? Aren’t you confident in my skills?"
"I-I didn’t an that. I really want to take you ho—otherwise, I won’t feel secure. It’s still raining outside."
"Be good. You head back first," Lilac Serval coaxed him, looking at him like he was family.
"If you don’t leave, I won’t leave either." For once, Little 11 didn’t listen to her. "It’s the last night—I’ll stay with you. I won’t leave you alone at the bar."
"Fine, then keep company with a drink."
"No way. Let’s just talk... uh, uh..." Little 11 stamred, his face reddening halfway. "Do you... do you have soone you like?"
"Yes," Lilac Serval smiled and brushed her hand across his face. "I like you very much."
"No, not like that. I don’t an that kind of ’like’—I an..." His face turned redder.
"Oh..." The light in Lilac Serval’s eyes dimd suddenly. "No."
Little 11 opened his mouth slightly, almost blurting out "Then do I still have a chance?" but ultimately swallowed the words.
Now wasn’t the ti to confess to her.
What he needed to do was improve himself.
Lilac Serval leaned back on the couch, while Little 11 sat beside her, keeping her company.
When she eventually fell asleep, he would take her ho.
Little 11 talked on and on with Lilac Serval, sharing so recent amusing stories with her.
"Next month, our class has a spring outing planned. If you’re still in Landon, I can take you with us."
"There’s a robot design competition happening recently. I signed up for it. If I win, the prize money is quite generous. Sister Lilac, what do you like?"
"?" Lilac Serval paused for a mont. "Nothing really."
"Then what am I supposed to do with the prize money? I want to buy sothing for you."
"Buy sothing? Then buy a bouquet of roses. I’ve never received roses before." Lilac Serval chuckled.
"Really... Can I buy them for you?"
"Of course."
"Then I’ll definitely win the prize." Little 11’s eyes sparkled with determination.
