Cheney Residence.
It was close to nine when Jasmine Yale finally woke up, feeling lethargic and unenthusiastic.
After washing up, she went downstairs in slippers.
Butler Santana was placing fresh flowers in a vase and greeted Jasmine Yale with a smile as she ca down, “Miss Yale, hungry? I’ll get you so breakfast.”
“The rain seed to have lasted all night.” Jasmine Yale looked out the window.
A thin layer of mist had ford on the glass, and beyond the haze, there was the sound of the heavy rain pouring down.
“Yes, rained all night. It’s always like this around Qingming Festival, a rainy season.” Butler Santana brought the warm breakfast to Jasmine Yale, “Miss Yale, are you going out today?”
“Not going out.” Jasmine Yale shook her head, “On rainy days, I like to stay at ho.”
She kind of missed her mom, and also missed Sweet Kitty.
During breakfast, Jasmine Yale was obviously distracted, constantly gazing at the beautiful daisies in the vase.
She rembered her mom loved painting, and was best at still lifes, especially flowers.
Kaine Zahir was reluctant to buy flowers for her mom, so her mom would paint various flowers on her drawing board by herself.
It was through those papers that she recognized the Blue Demoness, daisies, lavender…
Her mom’s paintings were beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful; she didn’t think they were any less impressive than those in art exhibitions.

A long dress remained spotless.

Riceball ran in from outside, twisting its curious little head at Jasmine Yale’s feet, occasionally rubbing against her lower legs.
“Riceball, why not go play with Ali? Jasy will be leaving in a few days but will co back to see you.” Jasmine Yale softly talked to it.
“Hmm.” Riceball obediently snuggled against Jasmine Yale as if it understood her words.
“Little Chale misses you, and I miss him too.” Jasmine Yale ate the porridge in her bowl, her thoughts wandering.
Unable to bear the weight, so much sorrow.
The sky was gloomy.
She didn’t call Sylvan Cheney; until noon, she only sent him a text ssage: Will you co back for lunch?
In the eting room, Sylvan Cheney took his phone and replied with two words: Not coming back.
It was nearly noon, yet the lengthy internal eting wasn’t over.
Jesse Rowan was evidently running out of patience, his back starting to ache after the whole morning.
Sylvan Cheney showed little expression, only glanced at his watch and said faintly, “Mr. Rowan, continue in the afternoon?”
