Joan Harry smiled, the smile at the corner of her lips resembling a poppy flower, laced with poison.
She knew that once his identity was ntioned, he would lose his composure.
She also knew he loved being the center of attention, with everyone flattering and fawning over him, vain like a teenager.

The female doctor was still waiting for her in the clinic, and seeing her return with a poor complexion, hurriedly poured her a cup of hot water: "Is that your boyfriend? Had a quarrel?"
Joan shook her head: "He’s not my boyfriend. Doctor, prescribe the dicine please."
The female doctor nodded, prescribed the dication, and advised: "Take the dicine on ti every day. If there’s uncontrolled bleeding, co to the hospital for an examination promptly. If everything goes smoothly, and the embryo is expelled successfully, co back to the hospital for a check-up in about three or four days. Lower belly pain is normal."
The doctor kept advising her while prescribing the dicine.
Joan kept nodding.
"I’ll give you a business card; call imdiately if there are any issues. Don’t bear it alone."
"Thank you, doctor."
Joan’s gaze appeared sowhat dazed and blurred, her hand resting on her lower belly, gently rubbing.
She couldn’t feel the slightest heartbeat of the child; it was just a transient life.
