“Doctor, how is she?”

Jesse Rowan looked into the ward. On the bed, Joan Harry was lying quietly, as if she was awake.

Jesse Rowan was listening carefully to the doctor’s words when the doctor suddenly asked this, startling him.
After a mont, he lightly said, “Friend.”
“Oh, as long as soone is taking care, call if there’s anything. I’ll head off to other wards,” the doctor said.

He stood beside the bed, looking down at Joan Harry who lay there.
The woman’s cheeks were flushed, her hair a bit disheveled, and her brows furrowed as if she was in pain.
The loose hospital gown hung on her, making her appear particularly small and delicate.
