In the evening, Sylvan Cheney returned ho much earlier than usual.
His handover with Jesse Rowan wasn’t fully completed, and there was supposed to be a Cheney Family shareholders’ eting tonight, which he postponed.

“I organized them this afternoon, intending to tell you tonight.” Jasmine Yale spoke sowhat guiltily, nestling her head into his embrace, “I plan to pack everything and head to Cakago in a couple of days. I’ll go first, and you… it’s your choice.”
She didn’t dare to stay in the country.
Nor face the upcoming Qingming Festival.
She was unsure whether, after she went to Cakago, he would follow.
If he changed his mind, she wouldn’t hold any resentnt.
He has the power to decide, she knew she could never control him, nor alter any of his decisions.
Whatever he decides, she can only accept it.
“Weren’t we supposed to go together?”

“Alright, we said we’d go together, so let’s go together. Don’t change your mind.”

Sylvan Cheney carried her downstairs, placing her on the sofa. He leaned down and kissed her forehead: “I’ll make a couple of dishes, wait for , will you?”
“Alright…” Jasmine Yale obediently covered herself with a blanket.
Sylvan Cheney went to the kitchen, leaving her sitting alone on the sofa waiting for him.
Riceball ca running over, wagging its tail at her.
Jasmine Yale petted its head, her gaze soft and calm, a shallow dimple by the corner of her mouth.
