From the very first eting, there was no sense of goodwill.
Sylvan Cheney has always acted with integrity, never stirring trouble, stabbing soone in the back, or using won and children for advantage.
But Spencer Childe is different. The first ti she saw Spencer, she felt he was ruthless, cunning, and calculating.
There are many ways to succeed in business, she guessed Spencer Childe’s rise was certainly not as upright as Sylvan Cheney’s.
As Jasmine Yale said these words, her gaze remained on the tombstone, not looking at Lana Fern, but she felt as if thorns were pricking her back.
"You, you... you are truly arrogant!" Lana Fern spluttered in anger. "Grandpa, look at her. She behaves like this, acting high and mighty, as if she’s already the mistress of the Cheney Family. If she really marries Mr. Cheney, won’t everything in the Cheney Family be under her control?"

Jasmine Yale curled her lips.
Blood splattered on her lips, and rain washed it away; she tasted the flavor of blood.

"Yes, so the person I should thank is Sylvan, not you all, right?" Jasmine Yale licked the rain from the corner of her lips.
Her gaze remained fixed on the tombstone.
She always felt mothers were gentle and kind, so Mrs. Childe should be as well.
Tor, the butler, shook his head angrily: "Elder Childe, look at this. What kind of talk is this? It’s Mr. Cheney who spoiled her so much, making her insufferable. Even in the Cheney Residence, she had no respect for seniors, and even dared to order around."

"I told you to kneel and apologize to Qiana, yet you show no remorse at all!" Spencer Childe exclaid furiously.
"I’m sincerely apologizing to Mrs. Childe. Furthermore, I wish to speak to her," Jasmine Yale retorted, her voice light and airy. "Even if I’m made to kneel here all night or stay here forever, I won’t take back those words."
