The dishes on the dining table were steaming, and as everyone chatted, they beca more familiar with each other.
Butler Santana thought Yukon Carbon was genuinely nice. If Jasmine Yale could be with Mr. Carbon, there wouldn’t be too many regrets.
But she knew it was impossible.
Jasmine Yale’s heart had no room for anyone else.
“Chris,” Jasmine Yale said after eating for a while, “What kind of girl do you like? Your sister can keep an eye out for you.”
Chris Fern paused his chopsticks and smiled, “I’m not considering that for now. I just started at the hospital in Sam Francisco, so I have to focus on work.”
“Well, just let know, and I’ll watch out for you; it’s always good to be prepared.”
“As long as we connect well. There are no fixed requirents; just liking is good enough.”
“My brother is quite easygoing. That’s good, I won’t worry then. Rember to tell if you find a girl you like.”
“I will.”
Jasmine Yale squinted her eyes, observing Chris Fern. He was truly different from before.
Chris Fern used to be cold, gloomy, and scheming; now he seems much sunnier and calr.
This is probably what her brother should be like.
“Dad, shall I accompany you for a walk this afternoon?” Jasmine Yale asked.
“Are you busy? If you’re busy, Chris can walk with . Our flight is tomorrow morning.”
“Not busy, it’s Saturday today, no classes.”
“Actually, I’m not very interested in walking; I just want to talk to you more,” Luka Xadrian said.
After being apart for so many years, he actually had a lot he wanted to say to Jasmine Yale, and he wanted to ask her if mom had been doing poorly those years.
“So why not chat while watching TV? Perfect timing as I bought lots of seeds and fruits yesterday,” Jasmine Yale said with a smile.
“Sure, sure.”
The atmosphere in the living room was always warm.
Luka Xadrian occasionally glanced at Jasmine Yale, with tenderness and affection in his eyes.
His daughter looked a lot like Yana Yale, and sotis thinking of his deceased wife made him sigh.
Jasmine Yale peeled an apple for Luka Xadrian and Chris Fern, and made herself a glass of orange juice, also making one for Butler Santana and Yukon Carbon.
Seeing Jasmine Yale return to her usual self, Butler Santana felt very pleased.
Changing places did make a big difference.
During her ti in Landon, she was anxious every day.
In the end, Jasmine Yale did sothing foolish, though fortunately, the rescue was tily.
Jasmine Yale nestled on the sofa, hugging an Ali, tilting her head to listen to Luka Xadrian talking about design.
“I like doing jewelry product design; your mom liked painting. Many tis when I faced design bottlenecks, I’d turn to her for enlightennt. She was really smart; she always pinpointed my problems and gave great advice.”
“Once, I needed to design a bracelet for seventeen- or eighteen-year-old girls from good families, but I wasn’t very knowledgeable in that area. Your mom gave the suggestion later. She said rose gold colors are suited for girls that age; it shouldn’t be too elaborate but must have eye-catching elents, like small diamonds or engraved patterns, yet not turning out odd or mismatched.”
“Half of the design draft was drawn by her, and the design was very successful that ti, and the bracelet sold very well.”
Rembering his harmonious tis with Yana Yale, Luka Xadrian had a faint smile on his lips and a look of satisfaction on his face.
“Your mom was really smart; she was a good helpmate.”
