The weather was scorching hot, without any wind or rain.
Jasmine Yale was waiting in the corridor outside the group with the other interviewees.
There were so many people that there wasn’t even a place to sit, so Jasmine had no choice but to stand.
Among those who ca for the interview were Jasmine’s classmates, and Jasmine smiled and greeted them.
"Jasmine Yale, are you here for the interview too? Didn’t your family arrange a job for you?" They assud Jasmine’s family background was very good.
Jasmine shook her head, "No, I’m alone in Cakago."
"I’ve heard that Jas Group has very strict requirents, not just in terms of good academic performance, but also having upright conduct and decent manners. And they say married and with children gets priority consideration, but who knows if that’s true." A few classmates jeered, mocking Jasmine for her notorious reputation during school.
"I also think a big company like Jas Group would have fair HR practices, hiring based on talent, and they wouldn’t be swayed by baseless rumors, right?" Jasmine said calmly.
"But regardless of the company, not hiring pregnant won is a fact. Naturally, most who are pregnant enjoy a happy and cozy pregnancy-queen life at ho. It’s rare to see soone like you out looking for a job."
"A girl should be independent at any ti. Just because she’s pregnant, shouldn’t she still look for a job? There are plenty of won who continue to stick to their posts during pregnancy. Besides, whether Jas Group hires or not is up to their HR." Jasmine retorted sharply, not backing down.
No point in bearing with them.
These rumors, while she didn’t mind them, didn’t an she’d always let herself be bullied.
"Jasmine, does your husband support you working?" one female classmate asked pointedly.
"Are you... very interested in other people’s family affairs?" Jasmine smiled slightly.
"Tsk, who’s interested in your affairs? Just kindly reminding you, since you’re pregnant, you should go ho and rest early. Didn’t you see that so many people are here for the interview, but only a few will be hired? Don’t waste your ti; it’s not worth it. Plus, in such hot weather, getting heatstroke wouldn’t be good."
"Thanks for your concern." Jasmine said indifferently.
The few female classmates, seeing Jasmine unfazed, got tired of talking to her and stood aside to gossip among themselves.
Jasmine leaned against the wall, silently stood by the window in the hall, and looked at the scenery outside.
The clean glass window reflected her haggard appearance.

Jasmine closed her eyes slightly, listening to their idle chatter.
