For a while, Kade Yuvan couldn’t co back to his senses.
Damn it... asking such a question.
One would think, if her husband was still around, how could he possibly allow a pregnant woman to look for a job.
"I’m sorry, Miss Yale, I’m really sorry," Kade apologized.
"It’s all right, I’ve gotten used to it," Jasmine Yale said, "Mr. Yuvan, thank you for bringing here. You should head back to the Financial District, don’t keep your president waiting. I can see the doctor by myself. I know the doctor, I’ve been here many tis."
"I’ll accompany you."
"There’s really no need, don’t waste your ti."
"It’s no problem, my ti isn’t that precious, I’m not a president."
Kade insisted on accompanying Jasmine Yale to see the doctor.
Jasmine had no choice but to let him accompany her.
After a few simple examinations, the doctor advised, "There’s no major issue, but as the weather gets hotter, do be careful. You’re just having a heat stroke today, nothing else to worry about. In such hot weather, avoid running around outside and rember to drink more water."
"I understand, thank you, doctor."
Jasmine Yale breathed a sigh of relief.
Kade walked her out of the hospital: "Where do you live? I’ll give you a ride ho, it’s quite inconvenient being pregnant."
Jasmine quickly shook her head: "No need, besides, using company resources for personal use, be careful of losing bonuses."
"It’s our president’s car, he’s not that stingy, and besides, he knows about this today."
"Really, there’s no need, just a few steps from the hospital to the subway station, I can get back myself."
"Not returning for the interview? Why not co with and head back for it."
Jasmine thought for a mont, it wasn’t impossible.
But thinking of him as the new president of Jas Group made her a bit resistant.
Still, he’s a high-level executive, she’s an employee, the chances of running into each other are slim, and Jas Group’s salary has always been generous.
Jasmine hesitated.
After arriving in Cakago, this was the first ti she hesitated like this.
He didn’t recognize her anymore, whether it was feigned or genuine, the chances of eting him again wouldn’t be high.
"Miss Yale, give it a try; no matter what the result is, at least you’ve tried," Kade continued to persuade, "Anyway, you’re looking for a job, why not choose our company? Our company’s salary and benefits are quite good."
"If you start in the secretary departnt, the salary is at least 1000 US Dollars a month, not counting various benefits and bonuses, really not considering it?" Kade quite wanted to be colleagues with her.
Jasmine knew she was tempted.
But she also knew what was making her hesitate.
After a long while, she nodded: "I’ll give it a try."
Give it a try, for the baby’s sake.
She had promised to buy him lots of beautiful clothes, delicious formula, and pretty bracelets...
A sorrowful glimr flashed in Jasmine’s eyes as she sat back in Kade’s car, placing her hands flat on her small belly.
More than three months.
More than three months since she and he parted ways.
She had let her life beco a ss, embarrassing and difficult, yet he hadn’t, still as luminous as the moon.
"Miss Yale, do you plan to stay in Cakago long term?" Often, it was Kade who initiated the conversation, and she would respond.
"Yes." Jasmine nodded.
Besides Cakago, she had nowhere else to go.
Originally a person without a hotown, like a dandelion that disperses with the wind.
She would not return to the country again.
