Jasmine Yale knew that in so ways, she and Yukon Carbon were very similar, such as being persistent.

"No, it was because he was careless and lost his wallet. I went to great lengths to help him find it. To thank , he insisted on giving sothing. Coincidentally, his cat had a litter of kittens, so he let choose one."
"Wow." Jasmine Yale’s eyes sparkled with light. "A Little Princess or a Prince?"
"A Prince."
Jasmine Yale giggled, "When you raise it, let it marry our Sweet Kitty."
"Sure, isn’t it trendy now for younger boys to date older girls?"
"Right, right, it’s trendy. Maybe Sweet Kitty will take a liking to the Prince."
Jasmine Yale poured Yukon Carbon red wine, while she drank juice herself.
The warm private room made even the air feel warm and gentle.
Sumr nights always carried an infinite depth and allure.
Occasionally, she would feel a pang in her heart, but it passed quickly.
Life is long; one can’t always live in pain. You have to think about happy things to keep moving forward.
Ever since she found out Sylvan Cheney was still alive, the burden on her heart had been lifted, and her chest no longer felt so heavy.

As she walked, suddenly, she ran straight into a firm and broad chest—
"Oh." Jasmine Yale’s face turned pale with panic, quickly grabbing his arm, scared she’d fall.
The man also lifted her, helping her to steady herself.
Even so, Jasmine Yale ended up falling against his chest, her white flats stepping on his black leather shoes.
He slled lightly of cologne, mixed with a strong scent of alcohol.
Jasmine Yale toppled into his arms, hurriedly lifted her head, and stepped back awkwardly, "I’m sorry, sir."
She had stepped on him.
The man’s brows furrowed, his gaze lowered to her face, filled with profound depth, vast and endless.
His large hand still held her arm, his gaze gradually slipping down to her abdon.
She was pregnant.
"It’s nothing." He spoke softly.
In the dim corridor, his deep voice rang out. Jasmine Yale paused for a mont and looked up again—
Sylvan Cheney...
Her eyes were a mix of astonishnt and surprise, her face turning from blush to pale, her mouth slightly parted, montarily forgetting to pull her gaze away.
It was him.
So close.
Close enough that... she could reach out and hug him, wrap her arms around his neck like she used to, and act a little spoiled.
