Capítulo 1841: Chapter 1841: Her Child Is Already Four Months Along
After that day, Jasmine Yale smoothly remained at Jas Group, but she never saw Sylvan Cheney again.
She and he were like two lines without intersections, occasionally entwined because of work, but mostly parallel.
Her belly grew bigger, yet the baby was lively and healthy.
Whenever she thought of the unborn child, her heart always rippled with waves of gentle tenderness.
The tenderness was like cherry blossom petals on a spring day, gently falling, creating a whole field of softness.
Every ti she thought of the child in her belly, she would beco patient and ticulous.
On this Saturday, Jasmine Yale was lounging at ho in bed, unexpectedly receiving a call from Charles Mcintosh.
“Miss Yale, where are you? I’ve arrived in Cakago.”
Jasmine Yale quickly got out of bed: “Mr. Mcintosh? I’m at ho, where are you? I’ll co pick you up.”
“No need, I’m still at the airport,” Charles Mcintosh’s voice was calm, “the café near your school, let’s et there.”
“Alright, alright.”
Jasmine Yale knew that if it weren’t sothing important, Charles Mcintosh wouldn’t have personally made a trip to Cakago.
She picked a simple dress, washed up quickly, and hastily ate breakfast.
Butler Santana had gone out as usual to buy groceries; she put on her shoes, carried her bag, took her keys, and set out from ho, walking towards the school nearby.
It had been a long ti since Charles Mcintosh called her, sa with Frederick Owen.
Jasmine Yale arrived first; she chose a quiet private room, feeling slightly apprehensive.
Her heart was pounding, she didn’t know what Charles Mcintosh wanted to say to her.
Perhaps, it was nothing, he was just here on a business trip.
Jasmine Yale held a cup of lemon water, quietly waiting for Charles Mcintosh.
They hadn’t seen each other for a long ti.
The crystal chandelier in the private room emitted a soft light, a dim pale yellow, gentle and alluring.
Jasmine Yale leaned against a pillow, sitting silently and waiting.
Charles Mcintosh didn’t keep her waiting long.
The mont he pushed the door open, he brought in a gust of hot wind.
“Miss Yale.”
Charles Mcintosh was still the sa, a clean dark blue shirt, neat tie, tall and handso, but there was a hint of lancholy and fatigue on his face.
“Mr. Mcintosh, have a seat, would you like sothing to drink?” Jasmine Yale proactively handed over the nu.
“No, lemon water is fine.”
“It’s rare for you to visit, and at my place, how co we’re only having lemon water? Shall I just order sothing randomly?” Jasmine Yale smiled brightly, her face radiant.
Charles Mcintosh didn’t say much more, he looked at Jasmine Yale.
Jasmine Yale looked much better than he imagined, her cheeks were rosy, and her belly was noticeably prominent.
If he rembered correctly, her child was already four months old.
Seeing her in good spirits, Charles Mcintosh breathed a sigh of relief.
However, the red string on her wrist was removed, revealing the scar on her left wrist clearly, but she didn’t seem to mind.
It’s best not to mind.
Jasmine Yale actually knew what Charles Mcintosh liked to eat, as she had dined with him before.
She ordered a few of his favorite dishes, then closed the nu.
“Mr. Mcintosh, long ti no see. I’ve been quite well here, so you don’t have to worry. But you, you seem thinner, are you too tired?” Jasmine Yale looked at him.
Charles Mcintosh gently shook his head: “No, not really tired, just handling so project wrap-up tasks.”
“Mr. Mcintosh, thank you for helping find my father and brother, I’m very grateful, there’s nothing I can do to repay you.”
“It’s nothing, just what I should have done. Have you seen them?”
“Yes, I have, they’re doing well. But Chris Fern… has he lost his mory?”
