Yukon Carbon’s business trip to Cakago lasted about a week. After a week, Jasmine Yale returned to her routine of commuting by subway to and from work.
The sumr days were particularly long.
But at night, the bustling dayti would quiet down, leaving only the faint sounds of insects.
August, the hot season had not yet passed.
That evening, just as Jasmine Yale had packed her things, she received a text ssage.
"Co to my office."
It was from Erin Janus.

Once while shopping for clothes, and once the last ti in the eting room. It was quite a while ago, especially the first ti.

Despite her doubts, Jasmine Yale packed her things and went over. Erin Janus was her boss and also the company’s vice president.
Erin Janus rarely ca to the office, leaving most of the authority to Sylvan Cheney, while she had another fashion magazine company that interested her far more than the Jas Group.
Jasmine Yale headed upstairs.
She raised her hand to press the doorbell, and the door opened.
But to Jasmine Yale’s surprise, it wasn’t Erin Janus at the door, but her best friend, who should be nad Stacy.
Jasmine Yale had t Erin Janus’ best friend before, during the clothes shopping trip. She was with Erin, and the two had a close relationship.
"Hello." Jasmine Yale greeted with a smile.
As soon as she greeted, the woman closed the door.
Erin Janus’ office was completely different in style from Sylvan Cheney’s — one cold and indifferent, the other warm and passionate.
Erin Janus’ office had many fresh flowers in all sorts of colors, making it feel less like an office and more like an artist’s private garden.
"So you’re Jasmine Yale." Stacy sized up Jasmine Yale, "I thought you looked familiar, like I’d seen you before. Oh, that’s right, the ti we were shopping for clothes. You couldn’t afford them and ended up giving them to Erin."
Jasmine Yale nodded, not denying it.
"The top floor of that mall is all designer items, very expensive. In future, I’d suggest you stick to the first or second floor, and certainly not beyond the third floor, or it’ll be awkward," Stacy said bluntly.
Jasmine Yale laughed, "Not being able to afford flowers doesn’t an I don’t have the right to appreciate them. The pursuit of beauty is everyone’s passion."
She silently rebuffed Stacy.
Stacy widened her eyes with disdain, "Just holding up appearances. Pursuing beauty requires ability too."
She lit a cigarette, leaning against the table corner with an unpleasant expression on her face.
Stacy wore an exquisite pink dress, her bracelet gleaming brightly, radiating enough aura in front of Jasmine Yale.
She didn’t even deign to look directly at Jasmine Yale. If it wasn’t for needing sothing from her, she wouldn’t bother with Jasmine Yale, who seed down-to-earth and dull.
"Isn’t CEO Janus here? If not, I’ll co again next ti. She texted saying she needed for sothing," Jasmine Yale said calmly.
"Jasmine Yale, I heard you have a special talent," Stacy laughed with a mocking tone, "seducing n."
"If it’s not work-related, I’ll leave now."
"No, I’m quite interested in you. I heard people say that the father of your child is unknown, and lately, you’ve had a Benz picking you up every day. Of course, that’s not important. It seems you don’t take interest in anyone," Stacy stared at Jasmine Yale.
