"Isn’t it? A blood diamond, and such a big one, I wonder how much it costs?"
"I read in the news before, there was an auction for a blood diamond about half the size of CEO Janus’s, and it went for twenty million."
"Twenty million? Really? Then CEO Janus’s could be over fifty million."
"Fifty million is nothing to CEO Janus. Our branch’s performance this year has been extrely good. Especially since CEO Cheney ca, the company has been on a roll."
"All I can say is CEO Janus has a good eye. The man she chose is really capable, thank goodness she didn’t pick those spoiled rich kids. Oh, wasn’t there soone nad Timmy who sent roses to CEO Janus? One ti he filled the whole company lobby with them, causing such a huge commotion."
"Those rich kids can’t compete with CEO Cheney."
"That ring, it’s so beautiful. I wonder what it feels like to wear it..."
"Must be an extraordinary feeling."
Amidst the bustling gossip, Jasmine Yale curiously glanced over.
Erin Janus had posted a few vacation photos on her social dia, at the beach.
Although Sylvan Cheney didn’t appear in the pictures, Jasmine knew they were probably together.
The sea breeze entwined with sunshine, indeed, it seed very joyful.
"Jasmine," Flora Sutton called out to her, "What are you thinking? Don’t tell you also like blood diamonds, haha."
"Hmm?" Jasmine laughed, "I do, they’re beautiful."
"By the way, Jasmine, I’ve never seen you wear a ring. Where’s your diamond ring?" Flora asked curiously.
"Mine?" Jasmine glanced at her bare finger, "I’m pregnant, I found wearing it botherso, so I took it off and left it at ho."
"I’m envious of those with husbands," Flora, still unaware of Jasmine’s situation, said. "I don’t even have a boyfriend."
"Boyfriends will co, raises will co, everything will co."
"How are you so optimistic every day?" Flora laughed, "By the way, is that rcedes that often picks you up your husband’s?"
Jasmine guessed she was referring to Yukon Carbon’s car and smiled, "No, that’s a friend of mine."
Flora glanced at Erin Janus’s social dia, stretching lazily, "Oh, when will I get to go on vacation too? I also want to go to the beach, feel the wind, soak up so sun, and collect seashells."
"Stop dreaming, get to work; making money is what counts," Jasmine replied, "Hey, send a copy of that amusent park project investnt report; I need to forward it to headquarters."
"Alright, work, work." Flora snapped out of the gossip.
The others continued their lively discussion, enthusiastic and the entire office was particularly buzzing.
A smile lingered on Jasmine’s face.
If he’s happy, that’s good.
She, too, will be happy in the future.
Though they will part ways from now on, and there may be so regrets, those regrets will inevitably be smoothed over by happiness.
The sumr sunshine was fierce and passionate, like an eager little fox, scorching the ground.
No wind, no rain, just high temperatures.
The office was cool with the air conditioner blowing cold air.
"I hear a lot of people in our company like CEO Cheney," the gossiping voices continued, "I know at least a few."
"That’s quite normal, but they probably only dare to have secret crushes, right? Nobody can compare to CEO Janus, not even a finger’s worth."
"There’s soone in our departnt who’s overestimating themselves."
Soone directed their gaze toward Jasmine Yale.
